I seriously don’t know how everyone in the hotel is always nice, polite, friendly, and warm! We’ve traveled to a lot of different places across Europe, Africa and the US, but this one is the best place we’ve been regarding the staff, what the hotel offers, the cleanliness and the overall atmosphere and concept of working. The guests are on the first place and all of them, starting from the restaurant to the hotel, put a lot of effort to make your stay memorable and cozy. We loved to hear about their different cultures depends on where each of them come from and they always wanted to share a nice story 😊 The breakfasts were always the same but enough to choose from. The restaurant is clean and even though there aren’t many options for lunch/dinner everything we tried was delicious especially the starters! The bar on the rooftop was amazing and we were lucky to get the only room on the rooftop which was nice because we had chance to witness some cool organized events like traditional Mauritian dancers. Suzi is definitely a star of the place and we loved her purring and cuddles 🤩 Overall, we enjoyed it a lot and we will be back for sure one day!

Breathtaking views. Magnificent chalet (no 2). Beautiful surroundings. Visit the lovely Ebony Forest, which has hikes at various levels. The most challenging and rewarding is to the top of Piton du Cabot. There are ropes to help you to the top (= steep). Also drive to the far north end of Le Morne public beach for beautiful swimming. There is shade under the pine trees.

I will rate the service 10/10. The staffs provide such an amazing service that for the first time of my life, I didn't have a complain, my husband was astonished too by the service. The staff was very nice to my parents, to myself, the reason Im stating this is because we are Mauritian and sometime because of being local, most hotel staffs tends to forget that we are paying for the same service as a foreign tourist and lack to give the local the proper service. I paid for one night and extend for a second night. Value for money. The place is clean and they really accommodate for your needs. The staffs at the restaurant will watch every step, clean your table or plate, pull the chair for you to sit, without asking, and help you to carry plates. The Spa was also a wonderful experience. I took the beach front view, is where you get the best view of the resto, beach

    Our stay at this lodge was nothing short of a fairy tale come to life. We had an absolutely enchanting experience here during our honeymoon! Nestled amidst lush greenery, it was the perfect romantic retreat. Waking up to the gentle symphony of birdsong every morning added a touch of magic to our stay. The villas were beyond excellent – spacious, elegantly designed, and with all the amenities one could wish for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. After a disappointing experience at another accommodation in the north, we decided to return to this lodge for a few additional nights. And we're so glad we did! The staff welcomed us back with open arms and even upgraded us to another villa at the same price as our initial one. Their generosity and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set them apart. We also want to give a special shoutout to Allen, the cab driver recommended by the lodge. His insights and recommendations transformed each trip around the island into a personalized adventure.     The beautiful and genuine smiles from the team. You can tell they have a solid team lead by some fine, professional and passionate hands on management, who are always present to greet & make time to chat to each guest. That in itself was pretty amazing. We were greeted and treated with such care from the moment we arrived to when we had to bid farewell. Thank you for an amazing experience and we highly recommend Lux Le Morne for its magical back drop, the most natural dolphin swim with skipper Dan on the beach front, delicious food and most of all the service is just what you should expect from a hotel at this level.

    The staff were exceptional and so welcoming, as other reviewers have said it is the staff that make the hotel memorable. They go above and beyond to ensure each guest is happy. The sea view is also absolutely stunning and we definitely recommend having both breakfast and dinner there. We also loved how the hotel felt cosy and it was easy to get around. Some people have said that the rooms are a bit dated- this may be the case compared with other luxury hotels however the sand suites rooms are clean and well maintained, and I would say that the design fits the island vibe nicely.

    We loved every single thing about this hotel. Its amazing. Everybody smiles, food are good, there are many options for the high quality activitiea and resting your mind is so easy. They even provided a privacy net around our villa as we asked. Water activities are free, coast is long and calm, they take care of personal needs.     Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

    Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is...

    Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.

    We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.

    It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

    Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.

    this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.

    Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

    La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.

    La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.
