We stayed at Ecoboo at the beginning of September for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We were greeted and escorted to the hotel as soon as we arrived, then given some refreshing drinks and a tour around the hotel, and gifted personalized glass water bottles. All the facilities at the hotel are gorgeous, you can see how much thought and care was put into creating them. The room was cozy, beautiful, and always kept clean and smelling nice. Having the AC in the room was greatly appreciated since it’s so hot outside. I loved that sunbeds with sunshades were available throughout the whole beach free of charge, separated from each other by bushes, which created a secluded and peaceful space to relax on the beach. The food at the buffet was diverse and very delicious. We would also like to express extra gratitude and praise to all the staff members - cooks, waiters, receptionists, cleaners, tour guides - who were always exceptionally polite, respectful, helpful, positive, and seemed genuinely kind and happy to be there.

We had a great stay at Atoll Retreat (5 adults + 1 toddler in 3 different rooms). The staff were very friendly and helped us organising island transfers. The hotel is very nice, modern, clean and new. 2 of our rooms had ocean view. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious and great variety of options. We received complimentary stingray feeding and loved the experience. The location is great as it is a few steps from the main pier, but also close to the bikini beach and restaurants. The staff went above and beyond. I highly recommend staying here!

Brand new design hotel right on the beach. Amazing ocean view. Everything clean, very comfortable bed. Reviews sometimes mentioned smell in the bathroom but we have not experienced any. All perfect. Very close to most beautiful bikini beach we have seen so far on local islands.

We loved everything in Madifushi Private Island, it is a Paradise on Earth. There are not enough stars to rate our stay. It’s a new resort that oppened on January 2023, as so, we will make a review trying to mention all the points. When we arrived to the Malé Airport we have a resort attendant waiting for us and helping in everything regarding the Seaplane transfer. She was very nice and helpful. She even helped us in buying a tourist Sim card, and accompanied us until boarding the Seaplane. Arriving at Madifushi Private Island Resort, Sasha, the person who accompanied us throughout our stay was always available for any question or need. Sasha was tireless with everything and an excellent hostess who made us feel like family. There aren't words to discribe her, she was unparalleled. We stayed in an over the water villa, which is a dream. Bed and sofa very comfortable, floor with glass that allowed to see the marine life, bathroom with an excellent shower and a bathtub with panoramic view. Outside two super comfortable sun loungers, a freshwater pool with infinite ocean views and two sun loungers on the water. An extremely comfortable swing where you could relax reading a book with the unbeatable view of the Maldives. The villa had a wooden staircase for direct access to the turquoise blue and transparent sea – a dream! The whole resort and its facilities built with great taste, were impeccably maintained: the villas, restaurant, swimming pool, gym, nautical club, etc.... All staff was extremely professional, efficient and friendly, since the housekeeping boys, kitchen chefs, security staff and the manager Mr. Omer. Once again all were so great and their service of an extraordinary level. The chefs in the kitchen were all extraordinary, always attentive to any small detail. Chef Surunga, extremely friendly and eficiente, guessed our desires and always tried to meet them, bringing us all kinds of delicacies.

From the arrival when you’re welcomed to the lounge everything was great! The lounge itself is comfortable and with quality food, anyone landing after a long trip will find some relaxation there while waiting for the seaplane transfer (which is managed by TMA not the resort directly, sometimes you have to wait a bit to get the plane), lounge has also space and playground for children to make them comfortable and relax parents. The island is a true pearl, very well maintained and with good reef and beaches. You’re welcomed by an ambassador which will support any request during your stay, I take the opportunity to thank mine, Rilwan, for the hospitality and assistance. All your stay and activities can be managed with an application on your smartphone. You can eat at buffet or you can book Rome restaurant (Italian) or beach grill. Both have great food choices and great view to relax your eyes and mind while di in and drinking! Buffet’s food is good as well and for breakfast you have a rich offering. All service is awesome and everyone tries to be helpful. My room was as expected, spectacular view over the lagoon and the sunset. Thanks to the nice Alamin for taking care of the room with respect. The bathtub facing the open ocean is an amazing experience. The reef is beautiful in the east/north side of the island with many fishes and corals. And you’ll meet the usual reef sharks which are so nice. Also some stingrays hangs around. Overall, a great place within the unique context of a Maldivian getaway.

We loved everything, it is pure paradise. The room was very clean. Everybody leaves the slippers outside on this island, to prevent sand and dust on the floors. There is ocean view through the palm trees, it is just amazing. The property has a bikini beach in from, as it is located just near the bikini beach of this island. The water was warm shallow, fine sand before the reif started. You can see milions of colored marine life just near the shore in shallow water as the reif is everywhere. The nature is amazing everywhere. The restaurant offers nice food. We requested fresh fish from the ocean one day ahead for our meals. Weena and Fazlan made our stay just amazing, they were so kind and welcoming.

We choose this resort due to the great house reef, which exceeded our expectations with its awesome marine life (turtles, sharks etc.).This place had everything we wanted of our holiday: air-conditioned rooms close to the beach, good breakfast, good cleaning, great swimming pool (though the reef.was more important to us), good gym and a professional diving center. This was our 2. holiday in Maldives, and this time we expecially enjoyed to be on a local island and learn to know the local people and culture. (First holiday was on a hotel resort island). Equator Village is great value for the money! Special thanks for the super-friendly staff!

I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.

Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.

Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.

You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.
