The staff here are amazing! From the moment we booked our stay until we checked out, they took care of everything. They arranged our airport transportation, helped us choose the perfect rooms, and even recommended water activities and spa treatments. The reception staff was always super helpful and friendly, and the restaurant staff was always smiling and happy to serve us. The boat trip guides were also top-notch, and the ladies in the spa were simply incredible. We only stayed for three nights, but they made us feel so special and welcome. Best staff ever! And the island itself is gorgeous! The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. Highly recommend 👌

Staff are very professional special thanks to Manager who know more than deserves his job due to great experience Mr. Paul, I would also like thank head chef Alagiyawanna for the great food and service provided during our stay. Other staff I can’t thank enough are Tuan and I think his name was Fazal/Fizal? Also thanks to Irufaan for great service beyond what’s expected. Not least the housekeeping staff. First of all, I highly recommend you read it until the end. An excellent facility on a small and quiet local island full of underwater riches. As soon as you put your feet into the water at the tourist beach, you are surrounded by dozens of different species of fish, but swimming with the fish seen on Youtube is a priceless experience. Mr. Ahmad, the owner of the hotel, is a very polite and helpful person. He is very professional in making all the necessary arrangements for you when you arrive from the capital to the island, in welcoming you at the entrance and when you leave the island. If you want to participate in off-island activities, they will help you as much as they can. You have breakfast as an open buffet at the best restaurant on the island. You should definitely try the product made especially from fresh tuna. Among the 4 hotels I stayed in on 4 different islands during my Maldives trip, this was definitely the newest, cleanest and cheapest. I can guarantee that you will feel at home in this hotel. I would also like to consider that restaurants, off-island activities, and many other things on the island are cheaper than on many tourist islands. Also; Mahibadhoo may not be the best island in the Maldives, but it is a fact that there are better ones in terms of nature and tourism. But if you really want to relax in a quiet environment, this quiet and tiny island located in the natural wonder South Ari Atoll is definitely one of the best local islands you can find. Never mind that the tourist beach is smaller than some, because there are only a few people on the beach at most, so the beach is yours! I definitely recommend splitting your Maldives holiday across more than one island, as I did, and devoting at least some of it to this island and this hotel.

I had a room with balcony and sea view and highly recommended. You can sleep with the sound of the ocean and watch beautiful sunsets. They clean the room every day and provide fresh towels for the beach. Staff is very kind and supportive. The double bed is big. You have also big wardrobe and fridge which is very useful. They respond on WhatsApp which helps and arrange also the speed boat. You also have sunbeds you can use for free at the private beach.

We stayed at Ecoboo at the beginning of September for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We were greeted and escorted to the hotel as soon as we arrived, then given some refreshing drinks and a tour around the hotel, and gifted personalized glass water bottles. All the facilities at the hotel are gorgeous, you can see how much thought and care was put into creating them. The room was cozy, beautiful, and always kept clean and smelling nice. Having the AC in the room was greatly appreciated since it’s so hot outside. I loved that sunbeds with sunshades were available throughout the whole beach free of charge, separated from each other by bushes, which created a secluded and peaceful space to relax on the beach. The food at the buffet was diverse and very delicious. We would also like to express extra gratitude and praise to all the staff members - cooks, waiters, receptionists, cleaners, tour guides - who were always exceptionally polite, respectful, helpful, positive, and seemed genuinely kind and happy to be there.

The Hotel followed us up since arriving at Malé airport counter and picked us up at speedboat both ways. Hotel staff was exceptional, attending and very helpful showing what to do and where to go on the island. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioned kept a very good temperature inside the room all day. The meals had only 2 options but they were very well prepared, with very tasty local dishes varying each meal. They also organised 2 amazing excursions and we were guided by the Hotel manager personally all way. The Hotel manager was most kind, very attending and also most determined to show us the Whale Shark and to making us swimming among several Manta Rays. The experience of being at high sea guided with such care turned out to be most exceptional at all levels and made us feel very confident on our first snorkelling experience.

    I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

    I absolutely would return!

    I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

    I enjoyed pretty much everything.

    I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.
