I would like to extend my huge gratitude to Mrs. Dian who is at the front desk who is an absolute gem and a lifesaver as she had planned my proposal from A-Z from the location, to the dinner and was nice enough to be our designated camera person. She helped us with our best moments and not forgetting what helped us with our room was just an added bonus. Mrs Dian also delegated her duty with Mr. Ben and he was the nicest and most helpful person and he ushered us to our room and helped us with moving around. Breakfast was amazing as Mr. Mages is such an amazing F&B manager. I love his hospitality and he is such a helpful person. Especially with someone of his age and experience, he comes off as a really humble person I would like to thank the front desk members Mrs.Vignes and Mr.Segar as well. Even at the Jetty in Marina Island, Mr. Raman is such a warm and welcoming man. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, they have made my already amazing stay in the island even better. He waited for us to set up the BBQ and was fast to clear up when we are done with dinner... Walking distance to the Pasir Bogak beach, close to a supermarket and several restaurants, the house is very large (I did not know I am getting the entire place for myself) and it was super clean. There are fans and AC units everywhere, there is a small kitchenette, water machine, Wi-Fi was quite good. Basically a great home, I would love to return here with friends and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Pangkor island. Mr. Lin's family even prepared a dinner for me with bbq shrimps and prawns, freshly caught by Mr. Lin himself, which was very kind of them! Pangkor is a great location but choose your time wisely.
Pangkor is a great location but choose your time wisely. If, like me, you prefer the quiet, then visiting in the quiet season is best; but it also has a very lively scene during busy season for those who prefer the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of restaurants with delicious local food and the price won't break the bank either. Hiring a scooter is the best way to get around the island, which can be done comfortably in a day. It has no big shopping malls or good public parks for sightseeing. But plenty of great restaurants and street foods. Some activities you can do are rollerblading, cinema and bowling. Kuala Kangsar is Royal township of Perak. There is a few historical building to visit if you were visiting for the first time. For the local food you can go to the lembah for eating cendol and laksa.
