The frontdesk Manager Alexander Cox and his stuff do everything with a smile to make your stay pleassant. I would like to use this oportunity to Thank Him and all the staff to have made our stay as feeling at home. the swimmingpool looks great and is located in the garden on riverside. The breakfast has a wide variaty of choice, western food aswell as asian breakfast. fruits coffee and sweets. I rented a car for the two weeks, and the hotel provides parking spaces right in front of the hotel, and there are enough places to park. dispite of other comments who said there was not, but MY opinion was i never had to wait or look for a parking spot. perfect., the laundry service automaticly picks up your laundry as you place it outside yoru door, and returns it the same day. perfect. the room cleaning staff are very friendly and helpfull, everyday fresh towels and watter provided. Since the receptioninst made a mistake and put into the wrong category of accomodation, we have seen both. Invest into the premium category, you will not regret it. That part of the hotel is a paradise. The standart category is ok but it doesnt even get half way to the experience you get on the top of the hill. The Marian is full of character, being an old colonial style building, and our King room, overlooking the pool, had its own balcony area (lovely to sit and watch the birds in the garden), good air con and efficient shower in the bathroom. The pool and area around it is great. The staff in reception were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The hotel is situated very close to the water front, craft stores, Carpenter Street and quite near to a shopping mall. We would have liked to have stayed longer. The “roti canai” at the Indian restaurant near the Harmony Arch is super. Don’t miss the coloured lights and water fountains on the river at 8:30pm. Combination of classic/old town and modern living. The best thing in Sibu for me is the variety of food that you can have with cheap price! Of course my favorite is the Kampua Mee. Bintulu town is a great place to visit. Been to the local beach in the evening after the visit to the Tumbina park. Few good malls we visited n did a bit shopping. Nice restaurants around town n not difficult to find them while driving around. Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Small fishing village.
Small fishing village. the beach at Roxy Beach Hotel (Canopy and Villa) was beautiful. But there is a sign warning people to swim at your own risk (because of jelly fish). Each cave is different from another and rides to get to them on the long boats added interest and anticipation of what we would find. The Park is very organised with some guides offering more information than others. Genuine, exotic and unique city. A small big city, easy to capture and take around, beautiful walks by Sarawak River, beautifully illuminated evenings and totally awesome night market with food to die for! Street following shore is full of shops, selling genuine handicrafts for a dime. get aquinted with the rich culture and handicrafts of the local tribes. Please do get in contact with locals, local culture and art! Enjoy the friendliness and hospitality. This is the very city where I felt I am far away from home, yet I felt home, welcome.
