The lodge has charm, good vibes and seemed much more authentic compared some other lodges we stayed at. The location is incredibly peaceful and quiet. We saw giraffe, warthog, impala, kudu, waterbuck, mongoose, ostrich - either by sitting at the new waterhole viewing platform with a drink at sunset, or by going for a little walk . We stayed in winter, but our room had a heat pump plus a woodburner which was lit by the staff every night. Super cosy. The location is great, near the city centre, with greenery, a fresh breez, and a nice terrasse for breakfast or other meals. My room had everything I needed. InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy.
InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy. However the location markers seem tricky - either drivers can't find you or the time indicated in the App is not correct. Ordering food ahead and going to collect at restaurants made evenings after work very easy. The Col'cacchio restaurant at Grove Mall had a fabulous view of the setting sun over drinks or dinner.
