It was truly beautiful and unforgettable. The hotel itself is newly renovated, with a modern and fresh feel. We enjoyed a good dinner and a great breakfast. I highly recommend this place — whether you’re coming in winter for skiing or in summer to explore the beauty of Norway.

AustraliaThe location couldn’t have been better. A few minutes walk from the station and the gondola and a short stroll into the town. Lovely views of the lake outside the bedroom window. For breakfast, there was something to suit everyone’s taste. Plenty of areas around to sit and relax and the hotel offered luggage storage at no extra cost.

United KingdomWithin a few hours I was contemplating extending my stay (spoiler: I did...) - this apartment is set within a stunning landscape that never creased to amaze every time the view caught my eye. The apartment itself is lovely and I was very comfortable and relaxed during my stay. There are lovely walks in the area and there's clearly plenty to do, particularly in/through nearby Voss. Unni was a great host: responsive and friendly, and provided helpful tips on the surrounding area.
I hope to visit again soon! .

Gabriela, the manager, was knowledgeable and always enthusiastic to provide necessary information to all the guests. She was all the time running around with lots of smiles. Thomas, the owner, is a super cool guy who looks like he came out of an adventure/wild magazine. He is a genuinely experienced hiker so do ask him if you have any questions at all. You would see him blend in with all his staff working hand in hand around the hotel. We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights and we found both breakfast and dinner way much better than we'd expected. The quality and the attention given to the meal preparation are overwhelmingly satisfied. We highly recommend this place to all nature explorers. One last important note, it is highly recommended that you do backpacking if you're arriving by train. The path from the Ørneberget train stasjon (resembling an abandoned bus stop ^ ^!) down to the lodge is quite steep and could be quite challenging for anyone.Guest review byPat_AngThailand

It was our first time in Norway and as our plane was delayed we arrived very late in the evening; though Bridget (our host) was waiting for us in the door. The property proved to be ideal for starting our exploration in the land of fjords and glaciers. Furthermore Bridget told us all relevant information about places to visit so, basing our schedule on this, we succeeded to see lots of interesting and marvelous places during our short stay. The room, though not large, was cosy and comfortable. Breakfast, served in a large and nice kitchen, was varied, based on local products and very tasty. Voss is very easy to reach by train or bus, and it's very well connected. There's a cable car to whisk you up the mountain, and from there there are walking paths over the fells, and to ski lifts. There's also plenty of nice places to walk in the town and buses to take you to more remote places to walk. The town has some nice places to eat and drink, but it isn't overly touristy. It's an excellent base for visiting Sognefjord and Flåm -- I did a nice circuit on train, ferry and bus and packed a huge amount of gorgeous landscapes into a day.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The view is the only amenity. Dinner was awful but you have no other options as hotel is very secluded. We were told before the trip that there were great hiking trails from the hotel but when we asked the front desk, there was only one road to walk down to see some waterfalls in the distance. It was a charming and cozy hotel with good breakfasts and a scenic lake nearby. A true salvation for us on our way to Flåm and beyond. It’s a great pit stop between some of the most popular destinations like Flåm and others — and I think this hotel is just right. Pathetic.. Avoid it if possible. No value for money at all. We booked a triple room and it was allocated in another building; which little away from main building with reception. Seemed like it was a make-shift arrangement to accommodate the booking. Building was in pathetic condition and sounded like no one had stayed there in last few months (may be a year). * No WiFi at all - we repeatedly requested but we got only false commitment that someone will come and fix it. But nothing happened * No TV (they had TV but not way to plug the power). How someone can fix the TV at the spot where you can not get the power? * Surprisingly room was very cold, I don't know may be due to leakage or may be its due to located in the basement or something else (although it was July). * Very basic breakfast options with very limited options and we had to ask the staff for every single thing such as milk, bread etc. * Staff seemed confusing, with no idea what to help with or no motivation to help perhaps. Voss is clearly the sporting capital of Norway whether it is Summer or Winter. Everything is in easy reach. Hotel was adjacent to the Gondola, Railway Station, Tourist information centre & close to lake & town. Our stay was in a traditional room with view of the lake. Perfect blend of traditional and modern. It had the singularly most advanced en-suite facilities I have ever used. Japanese technology & German manufacturing. Wonderful balcony for a couple to relax in. Room size was to USA standard with seating for 5, writing bureau, 55 inch TV, etc. Swimming Pool with personal lockers. Didn’t use the restaurant but bar meals were good with range of local beers. A number of individual reception rooms for quiet times, reading or family discussion. Staff are efficient & welcoming.
