From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. After a long journey, we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels, and even picked up directly from the bus station—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Milan, the concierge, truly went above and beyond. He was the most attentive and caring concierge we’ve ever met, providing invaluable information before, during, and even after our stay. He took care of everything, from arranging free transport to the bus station and visits to the elephant breeding centers, to organizing our onward travel and bus tickets. His dedication to ensuring our experience was seamless and stress-free was truly remarkable. The hotel’s own safari guide, Raj, was another highlight. His passion for wildlife was evident, and his knowledge made our safari experience unforgettable. The team made sure to carefully walk us through all the tour options, helping us choose the best ones suited to our interests. Special thanks to the wonderful waitstaff, Robyn and Kabita, who went out of their way to suggest delicious local dishes and served the best coffee. Their warm service and attention to detail made every meal a delight. This hotel delivers on every front, from outstanding service to thoughtful recommendations. This was a fabulous place to stay. The owner does walking safari and this was amazing and we got to see rhino’s. The facilities are basic but the showers are hot. If you are looking for 5 start this is not for you. It js a step back into nature and a beautiful setting. The meals are fantastic and there is an fire pit in the evening to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. He picked us up from the busstation, arranged jungle tours for us, got our loundry done and booked a busticket back for us. The food was all very good and big portions. The room was comfortable and clean and the swimmingpool was also very clean! The location is beautiful, surrounded by mustard fields. Definitely recommend this place if you’re planning a trip to Sauraha!

As a solo, female traveller, I could not recommend Traveller’s jungle camp enough. Well-located, clean and incredibly friendly, I could not have been looked after better. Mr Gopal not only provided great recommendations but was also a fantastic guide - the tour down the river and safari walk were fantastic. The team - in particular Mr Gopal and Saugat - were also brilliant in their endeavours to get me back to Kathmandu when it looked like my flight may not go due to bad weather. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

    It’s the best hostel I’ve been so far, no doubt. Every detail is well taken care of, it can’t be cozier. You really feel like being in paradise! If you like being sorrounded by nature that’s your place. I even stayed longer that I planned. They have a vegetarian/vegan restaurant with tasty food, and the best time is when in the evening they set fire and people hang around it. Also, I joined a safari tour with susu, he’s so funny and knows so many interesting things about the fauna and flora in the area. They definitely make you feel like home, relaxed and peaceful!

    The staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. They helped us enjoy ourselves at the resort and to book socially responsible tours, where elephant safari etc. were directly advised against. The hotel area is super cozy, and its beautiful garden and stylish buildings helps to create a proper safari vibe, though the hotel is merely a hotel/bnb and not a resort. Would definitely recommend visiting this place!

    We spent two nights here in a beautiful setting – highly recommended to everyone! Everything was clean, peaceful, and calm. Despite our delay, the owner waited for us until midnight, helped us with the check-in, and arranged everything we needed for the trek and our visit to the national park. Wonderful people – always helpful and kind. Once again, thank you for the lovely time we had at your place – we’d be happy to stay again. Wishing you all the best... namaste!

    The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national...

    The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national park, however, you can easily be ripped off by local guides and tour operators. Just shop around and remember that Jeep Safaris are a rip off because chanches of seeing any wild animal are extremely slim andyou end up spending 4 boring hours getting around the park. Make sure you know all options and talk to locals and tourist to find the best tour. I also recommend to visit the Tharu people site and see their dances, which is the best experience I had in this place

    The location maps they point to are incorrect. It took me in the opposite direction. Even the mobile they provide is incorrect. I complained to the front desk staff to correct immediately so that the other client won't be misguided.

    We had such an awesome visit to Chitwan, made even better by our stay at this hotel. Such friendly and helpful service throughout. We organised all our safaris through the hotel (which included lunch) if it was a full day, this was very handy. Often we’d be tired after the long day out on safari (lucky enough to see lots of beautiful birds and rhinos). Facilities were good, bed very comfortable and nice hot shower. We ate a lot at the hotel which was very tasty. Fresh produce! Most guests seem to be getting involved with the safaris so are up early this can mean it can be a bit noisy in the mornings, which didn’t phase us.

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4...

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4 elephants! It’s free and you meet two rescue elephants ladies :) We did a full day jeep safari and a half day jungle walk+canoeing. We were lucky and saw a bear, a bison, wild elephants and rhinos. Lots of colourful birds, crocodiles, monkeys etc. but you need luck to see the big animals. It’s sad that it is allowed to ride elephants in the Nationalpark what is an absolutely animal crime and the idea of a Nationalpark is to protect animals and nature. Also, to make more money, they let start five jeeps with one or two guests in it instead of putting them together. So they need to make more efforts and be more eco friendly. It worth a visit when you are already in the country and have time. But two days are enough.

    Gateway to safari’s either on foot or via Jeep. It township its self is a developing thriving hub with many restaurants, bars, tour / safari guide shopfronts. The riverside is peaceful with numerous animal sightings all day.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan. I'll be returning again soon, to see more of what I haven't seen yet. I've, the crocodile breeding centre and the elephants. Plenty of places to choose from for meals. Easy to walk around the town, apart from where the streets are being improved. Plus, even when many tourists there, it doesn't seem crowded. Pleasant weather during my time there. Plus, I managed to see several football World Cup games, at different bars/restaurants.
