No room service or restaurant in the hotel but are plenty of places to eat close to the hotel and it is a good bar and cafe nextdoor. the hotel is ideal for solo travellers or couples with no kids and no pets.

We asked for fresh towels daily and they were in before we finished breakfast. Prompt service.
Breakfast was nice. There was a young gentleman on the first morning we had breakfast who was very good with kids showing them how to use the pancake mashine. Thank you for that 😊

It is a natural beach loved by surfers! Take the kickboard, go directly into the sea, and enjoy the fun of surfing. If you are tired, you can rest on the beach. This is a place for a get-away to refresh yourself. The boutique accomodation is comfortable and clean. The restaurant at the hotel is special with amazing food, and a great atmosphere. The wifi didnt reach our room but who cares?! we came for a break 💕 Sunshine and great walks nearby made it a great escape from life. Hotel is in central location. Easy to find if you get lost too. Z Garage gave my latte free as they got the order wrong. Everyone in the town was talkative and friendly. Marbles buffet was the bomb and it was packed. Staff were fabulous. Caretaker beside reserved parking was friendly and gave us directions. It was very poor accommodation. Not clean before we got there room was very smelly n musky dirty smell. Lots missing from room. Utensils, TV remote, pots, toaster, iron. We couldn’t book anywhere else all booked out a big festival was on in the area. Emergency housing was in the Lodge they were disgustingly dirty (bogens) Dogs inside their hotel room. A great place to stop off and relax and enjoy the beach. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the accommodation comfy and clean. It was nice to sit out on the veranda. The shared bathroom was large with nice showers and was very well looked after. The kitchen had several ovens, cookers, microwaves and sinks to cater for a number of people. New Plymouth is pumping with life. All the cafes and restaurants are busy, Lots of young people around making it feel vibrant and alive. its a great town with lots to do. A walk around Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands is an absolute must. The cafe in the park has the most amazing scones!! Recomment Rice Rice Baby Vietnamese restaurant. We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes about a half hour walk to get to it but well worth it. Walked to the township for a meal which was good as the weather was superb. We dined at Malones for dinner which was really nice. Absolutely lovely area, not too far from New Plymouth township. We enjoyed our purchase from the local fish n chip shop, hamburger, egg burgers and fish n chips. Well worth it. Went for walks on the beach, great place to relax and watch the local surfers doing what they love. Stayed for 2 nights (wasn't long enough).
