Staff were great, went over and above our expectations. Secured us a shuttle for the Tongariro crossing, took into account dietary restrictions and prepared us breakfast and lunch for our early morning 5:30am departure. Location great for the crossing. And bed sheets were super warm and toasty.

All the amenities were functioning and excellently maintained. The room size was superb. The apartment's location was excellent. The hot tub and sauna were really nice. There were plenty of nice restaurants , convenience stores and attractions nearby. Parking was available and convenient. Well placed to visit National Park and Ohakune. We enjoyed cycling and walking. Very clean. We had one lovely bedroom and shared the lounge and eating area with another couple which was great fun. Plenty of space in the shared part of the property. Breakfast was great. Met the hosts Ron and Allison on the last night and they are lovely friendly people.

Great host communication. Comfortable beds, lots of space for our group, warm. I liked the location and outlook onto the pond, though it looks like further housing development is coming.

Really lovely township to stay out for visits to Mount Ruapehu - great selection of food venues (both takeaway like La Pizzeria or dine in like Cypress Tree). Carrot Land adventure park is a great visit for little kids.

The empty Chateau is a shame but we hope that will be sorted soon. The neglected buildings in the village on both sides of Bruce Road is not a good look. Hopefully they will be restored and have tenants soon. We understand Covid and the uncertainly around the sale of the ski field had a big influence but we hope that it would be fixed soon

Roomy, relaxing, peaceful, clean - had most of what we needed. A few basic things missing that would have been appreciated - salt, soap, dishcloth, lock on bathroom door, working oven/grill. But over-all we enjoyed the stay and it met our needs for a 2 night stay

National Park walks were stunning and the area truly deserves its World Heritage status. You could choose the difficulty and timing of your hikes. Easy to find your way round. Use some sandfly repellent and soother on hikes as you might be bitten. The bites are not pleasant and take a few days to stop itching. We had great accomodation which allowed us to self-cater- so no restaurant reviews.

This location feels really remote,it's very quiet with interesting landscape and somewhat eerie. The rooms are fairly basic but do have everything you require. It's great value for money however and an excellent option for those travelling on a limited budget.

    It was a great experience.

It was a great experience. Mountain was warmer up the to & colder at the bottom. It's wise to go up the gondola ride see the mountain close up front. There is snow field up the top for seating & restaurant. National park is just mesmerising very iconic. Worth visiting. I would go again next time for the crossing.

Ohakune is a town still recovering from COVID and some not so good ski seasons, but it is beautiful and well worth the visit. Apart from skiing and snowboarding, the mountain is a beautiful place to hike, mountain bike, or just visit for the view. Ohakune is small and easy to get around, with great cafes and restaurants. The ski shops are fantastic with really helpful staff (TCB is amazing).

The management is chaotic. I lost my ski poles. It took me an hour to find them among three girls. I found that all their equipment was someone else's. I was shocked. There were too many novices. My friend's child was hit three times in one day. It was really dangerous.

It's a decent small town in the middle of no where in rural nature. Close to the National Park town and Tongariro/ Ruapehu mountains. No real commodities in terms of gas stations and shops however but the National Park Town is only 5 minutes away.
