Everything. The staff were fantastic. There was an issue with flooding downstairs which they apologised for even though it didn't affect the floor we were on, it was great they shared that information with us. However, we noticed the water was brownish, I let it run for a while while I called the front desk to ask if it was usually like that, they replied No, then brought up two 1L bottles of water, however by the time they got to our room the water ran clear again. We appreciate their concerns.

This was our second stay at Trinity and we were not disappointed. The location is central, rooms are comfortable and clean, bed was comfortable, the temperature was perfect, staff were helpful and friendly, we had a carpark in the building and all of this for an affordable price. We were able to have a drink in the rooftop bar this time, which was fantastic.

    The public transport is excellent.

The public transport is excellent. Very easy to get the city from the airport and to get around everywhere. Te Papa is great but there is also a wonderful Wellington Museum on the waterfront which is well worth a visit and not so well advertised. This tells you the history of the early Māori and their links to their ancestral environment. If you visit Antrim House (it’s very cool) and pick up a few brochures there, there are also some wonderful cultural and historic places to visit which give you a good picture of Wellington’s architecture since European settlement. Of particular note is the amazing clock at the top of the old BNZ building on Lambton Quay. Don’t bother with an umbrella on blustery days, it’ll turn inside out in 5 seconds1
