We got a reserved parking spot for our mini-bus. Two ladies from the staff went totally above and beyond of what could be expected, when they jump-started our rented mini-bus on the day of our departure, when the battery was dead. Thank you again!! The view from the Quadruple Room was super. The Junior Suite had a unique "shower with a view" and a unique private mini-pool, that was indoors and outdoors at the same time. The bungalow was all self contained with cooking facilities and fridge and air con and fans. It had an outdoor area with a BBQ. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was beautiful. There is a bus service from Papeete or you can rent a car via the accommodation. About 40 kms from Papeete but only about 8kms from Taravao. He met us at airport and dropped us at the cruise port. He also offered to take us to the Sunday market & the beach as he was going himself. I loved the accomodation as it felt like the real Tahiti. Papeete itself is very bland and the market is over-rated (in my opinion). I wished I had planned properly and spent few nights at Moorea, but I didn't know what to expect. Rookie mistake 🫣 Lessons learnt. Despite mixed advice from the locals, I felt safe walking at night, which is a positive outlook for the Island 🙏 As many reviewers have mentioned, Papeete is only a good stopover to the other islands 🏝 😀 The 2 highlights of my stay was the day trip to Moorea, doing the safari excursions and the cultural night at the InterContinental Hotel.Guest review byLeeAustralia - 10.0

The room had a nice view & the tv had netflix but it was noisy with the bar playing music all night. If you have any food intolerances don't go here, they don't cater for it at all & aren't prepared to make anything that isn't on the menu. The jet ski's are constantly whizzing past just outside the lagoon so swimming in the sea is dangerous & they have resident Cockerell's in the property that call constantly from dawn to dusk. The nearest supermarket is 1.5 miles away & you have to walk at the side of a very busy duel carriageway & breathe in the fumes. If you rent a car, there are lots of traffic circles and they drive fast! Ate at food trucks which were really good and good price. Walked to a little corner store which provided enough to get us through the first day. Careful of the dogs running wild in the streets. Seem friendly enough, but did hear of a person getting bitten by one. Would not want to walk in the dark in that area. Hotel seemed safe at night. Rented a vehicle and drove the entire island of Tahiti Anui and Tahiti Iti. High recommend driving the entire island. Lots to see and do!Guest review byHeidiCanada - 10.0

Amazing! We cooked our on food. The Villa was great my kids had their own room, blast music, no neighbors, walked the mountain. Thing I didn’t like not air on the mountain as far as breeze none even with the all the windows open we had to call the owner to get fans for air. They were accommodating to bring us fans. Very hard to locate the actual apartment as there are no signs and the name appears to be wrong. Lucky for us to find a lovely generous occupant who helped us into our studio apartment. Spending a day or two there would have been enough, there was obvious poverty, with multiple homeless people. Not what I expected at all. I hired a car to visit the sites, but when I was driving around, everything looked closed, or uninviting. As a solo tourist, this wasn't the best place to visit. When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete for proximity to the ferry terminal (we were headed to Moorea next day). Flying back from another island in FP a few weeks later, we stayed in Faaa since we would be flying back to the States the next day.
