Our airline changed our flights to Coron to an earlier one and I already expected to find a place/restaurant around town to wait whole morning before we can check in on our first day, but the hotel allowed us to check in rightaway at 9am! Verrry much appreciated this as we didnt get any sleep trying to be on time for our 6am flight. Even on our last day, we were allowed to keep our room until our scheduled airport transfer at 1pm. 👏 I didn't book anything in Coron except for the flight and hotel, but everything still went smooth and hassle-free thanks to Corto del Mar. We arrived at the airport with a van transfer already waiting and we booked all our tours through the hotel reception. There's no stress deciding on our daily activities as we were allowed to sign up for tours until the night before. On each tour day, they prepared towels ready for us to use for the day's tour. The hotel also didn't skimp on the inclusive breakfast, as well as the in-suite toiletries, water, etc. I unfortunately didn't get the names of the reception, dining, and housekeeping staff but I kid you not that ALL staff of the hotel were courteous, welcoming, and glad to be of service to their guests. My friends can attest to how I gush about the excellent service of this hotel every single day during our stay and how I didnt want to leave. 😂Guest review byKatPhilippines

The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Rooms are spacious, big selection if breakfast, friendly hotel staff. Infinity pool is okay, could have a bit deeper though. The other pool is undergoing refurbishment. Island hoping are a must to do. We ate in the town where they served fresh sea food.I think its called Island boy Grill. Day trips to beautiful beaches and islands is what Coron is about. The town is dirty and chaotic. And hotels are overpriced for what you get. 3 or 4 days is enough to enjoy the diving and snorkelling options which are wonderful. Lots of rubbish floating around in the ocean and on the beaches which seems to be a south east Asia problem. We liked Busuanga because it was relatively untouched by tourism. Where we stayed at Ocam Ocam there was a rural village community living along the beach. They were friendly and helpful and there was one restobar on the beach. The beach wasn't busy - had a very relaxed feel. It would have been a drive to the nearest town but we liked being away from it all. The beach at Ocam Ocam was gorgeous, though not for swimming as it had a long shallow reef out to the sea.
