Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic.
A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic. A great place for a short visit if you like to avoid the crowds or to look for accomodation if you plan to explore the gorgeous 'vicentina' coast, with car access to many great beaches. Most of these beaches are likely to be too 'wild' for most people, with difficult access, but they are perfect for the more adventurers and, again, for those who prefer to avoid the crowds. Plus, there are a few places in the village centre where you can enjoy a really tasteful light meal, of which I'd definitely reccommend the restaurants 'Ao Largo' and 'Casa Verde'.Guest review byTiagoPortugal - 10

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Almograve is a beautiful town close to an amazing beach. The town itself was smaller than the surrounding towns with less amenities , like restaurants to choose from, but we were only there for one night so it was fine. We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. This charming seaside village offers an ideal spot to relax and recharge. Although it can get quite crowded in July and August, its peaceful atmosphere makes it perfect for a getaway. A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin. nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town. there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.Guest review byKatrinGermany
