There is a very nice lake “Silver Lake “ in vicinity of Veliko Gradište (5km), with beautiful nature, nice for swimming, paddling, fishing, walking and biking. The town is located by a lake and near the Danube.
The town is located by a lake and near the Danube. Ideal for passing trough, and exploring new places. Golubac with the fortress is close, it is good to take a drive parallel to the Danube. We have spent our vacation on a Silver lake, near Veliko Gradiste. It's a beautiful lake with a pebble beach for your family vacation. There are also many interesting locations in its surrounding. Two medieval fortresses are just about 30 minutes away by car. The archeological location of early civilisation Lepenski vir (8000 B.C.) is just 60 kilometers away. We recommend a boat tour on Danube to Golubac fortress and back. If you are interested in fishing, this is a good place too.
