Amazing value for money. Great staff, rich and delicious breakfast, great dinner too. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Lobby area is super beautiful and cosy, feels like home. It is not in a central area, but public transport in Stockholm works great, so there is no issue with that. Half an hour away from everything you would like to visit. They provided us with a meal even after dinner time, because we were with a late flight, which was super nice.

Location is good for those who came Stockholm first time, just next to the metro station. Old and historical building, so mesmerizing. After having fled from a horrible, claustrofobic and dirty “hotel” in Gamla Stan, we were more than heartwarmingly welcomed at the front desk by Fredrik. He gave us a wonderful and very clean room (upgraded ) - and the rest of the staff turned out to be as helpful and smiling as him. Breakfast was delicious, the bar funky and cozy at the same time and Rivals staff and beautiful interior made a short trip Copenhagen-Stockholm go from a holiday in hell to a holiday in Heaven.

    I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic – a great variety, fresh ingredients, and something for everyone. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly courteous and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A special thank you to one of the staff members (I guess it was Paivi) driven us to the customer office as there was no Taxi available. Thanks to their quick and thoughtful assistance, we were able to get to our customer meeting on time – which made all the difference. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back!

    The Gamla Stan ("Old Town") area was my favorite area. Great for walking with lots of great narrow, cobbled streets and old, interesting architecture. Loads of fun shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the Vasa Museum, Skansen, and the National Art Gallery. Touring the fabulous City Hall is a great experience.

    Prefer arriving in Arlanda compared to other airports close to Stockholm as it's easy access into Stockholm. However on our arrival the tracks were down making it impossible to take either the train or Arlanda express - fortunately we had arranged stay in local hotel but pity anyone who wasn't in the same position.

    A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants. Nice city center with a promenade along the sea that looks like a river. Beautiful surroundings with lakes. I was impressed by "Torekällberget", which is not promoted anywhere, but is better than "Skansen" (which is too expensive). Good public transport network.

    It's a bit like being in the suburbs, but it is still easy to get about as the bus leaves from outstide the hotel it is only about 10 mins or so to get to Upplands-Väsby train station. I took a train from there to get to Stockholm city centre (getting off at Stockholm City). The travel ticket allows you 75 mins of travel time so the bus ticket and be used again (including on the train for 75 mins). Note: Stockholm city is literally a couple of mins walk to another station in the city centre called Stockholm Centrum (Stockholm Central Station). So, folk coming in on other train networks would get off there).

    Lovely location with a jetty and diving platform on the archipelago. Great buffet breakfasts and dinners with a lovely terrace with a sea view. Near to public transport links to centre of Stockholm. Good bus 211 to bathing beach as well as Ropsten for travel in to stockholm. If you get a week travel pass it can be used on bus train, tram and some ferries. The 80 ferry takes you on scenic route to centre of Stockholm attractions and goes from Ropsten.

    Stockholm was wonderfull Ticked all the boxes, historic, great food, good coffee, pretty easy to get around. Public transport was fast and on time (but beware of construction causing some bus stops to be shifted like Slussen). Do a walking tour when you arrive, good to set the scene. Skansen was awesome - loads to see especially all the animals (bears, wolverines, Lynx, owls and farm yard animals. The Vasa Museum is a must (a 400 year old ship recovered from the bottom of the harbour and on full display and it is huge). just explore the different parts of the city on foot. it's a beautiful place. 3 days (4 mights) minimum. add an extra day to see Uppsala (the old capital) about 90 mins north of Stockholm.

    Arlanda is a beautiful airport with many nice restaurants. It is always clean with much natural light. The only issue I have is going through passport control upon arrival. Sometimes the workers are on a fika break and nobody is working at all. Once we stood there for almost 20 minutes before anyone arrived to check people's passports. On the other hand, the workers are always kind and helpfu,l so I appreciate that. Overall, I would say that Arlanda is one of my favorite airports, having to stay the night there (at one of the airport hotels) is more like a treat than annoying. Getting to the trains, buses, and car rentals is easy and convenient.
