SloveniaWe travel a lot so we've stayed in a bunch of different accommodations throughout the years. Valentina, the owner, was by far the most accommodating, flexible, friendly and kind host we've every had the pleasure of staying at. We highly recommend staying here. It's very peaceful at night and close to lots of hiking trails. We unfortunately only opted for the breakfast on our last day and regretted it immediately - it was so delicious with lots of really tasty home made food that we wished we would have gone for breakfast on our first day as well :)
The parking has ample space and the whole place is very clean.
We will definitely come here again the next time we visit the area.

The staff is great, room clean, beds comfortable (one comment though about pillows - too soft but not a real problem), the food is very good and the vibe is cosy and relaxing :) We had the possibility to rent bikes (normal or electrical) and there is also a EV charging station at the location (which was a blessing for us traveling with an EV car). The location is pet friendly and we had a good stay with our dog :). Trips are at hand from the location: a circuit of the Logar Valley (around 3-4h walking or less with the bikes), some beautiful waterfalls and the teal colour of the rivers always along your path. An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley.
Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.Guest review byElaineUnited States
