The hotel looked great in the pictures, but it was even nicer in real life! We were upgraded from a double room to a single-room apartment. Everything was new, clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable! Our bed was great, the shower was spacious and clean, there were plenty of amenities, and they even gave us a free drink at their bar. The restaurant also serves good pizza and pasta. Although they offer paid parking spots in front of the hotel, they suggested we try to park for free on the other side of the street, which worked out for our entire stay. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Breakfast was excellent. Coffee machine was free all day. The location is on the outskirts of Ljubljana but close to a big mall so you can enjoy a quiet place while having some nice evening time without driving anywhere and the location is great to avoid the hustle of the city center when traveling around Slovenia. Staff was really nice and helpful. Room was pretty big and comfortable.

    Was very pleased with everything. I contacted the hotel about our early arrival and our room was ready almost 2 hours before check-in. Same thing with checking out which is until 11, however our bus only left later in the afternoon so they were kind enough to let us leave our bags in the luggage room without any extra fees. All of the staff were very helpful, spoke very good English so the communication was easy and smooth. They answered all of our questions and they were all very kind. The hotel is located right next to the centre, so everything is approachable by a 10 minute walk. It is also easy to just hop back to the hotel if you forgot something, or need something. The railway station and the bus station is also a less then 10 minute walk. They provide a unique experience as they are part of the bee pathways, the bees could be visited on the roof of the hotel, this was the first time we experienced something like this and we were amazed by the idea. Overall the time we spent there was very pleasant, would definitely recommend as they are also animal friendly so if anyone wants to travel with their pets, it is possible. Great service for the price, if you're looking for a regular hotel and wanting to stay close to everything but not directly next to the tourist filled streets this is definitely a place to consider.

    Breakfast was served in a basket with accessories. A wide selection of food from yogurt to spreads. A typical Slovenian breakfast. The surroundings are very pleasant, filled with positive energy. The hairdresser is very friendly and helpful. Dogs were well received. The space for socializing is very pleasant. The toilet and shower are nicely equipped, clean and sufficiently available. In the middle of the lawn there is a fireplace where you can have a barbecue. The cabins are pleasantly furnished.

    Thats was exactly what we needed, type of motel to stay over night during our drive. Its very simple, clean and well maintained. Great value for the money. Staff was incredibly helpful. We came late they helped us order food from a nearby restaurant. Dont expect anything fancy, but if you on the road and need to find a good, quite and clean place to stay over night for a reasonable money look no further.

    Very good vegan options.

    Very good vegan options. Cheap but strong cocktails everywhere. Good for children, there were lots of festivals on. There's always something on for adults. The buses are cheap and regular. The city is so well maintained. No litter anywhere. The people are friendly, no one gives you the hard sell. You can hire scooters if you're in a rush. There's photo opportunities everywhere. The castle has so many beautiful things, the lift is quite cheap and you get to see a lot of the place without actually paying the castle entry. Lake bled is also very close and a must see. If you go ask the bus drivers and other people if that's definitely the bus. Because it can be confusing. But 4 euros single to the airport or bled is very reasonable. Sundays are a little bit funny. It's not as closed as many countries, but do stick up on Saturdays with drinks and such.

    The hosts are the nicest friendliest people you'll ever meet! We honestly loved our stay. For our arrival, they left a bottle of wine and chocolates on the table which was so nice after a long day of difficult travel. We were gifted tomatoes from their garden and a delicious freshly baked (by the host) cake in the middle of our stay. When we wanted to drop by a local farm to get some cheese, the host was nice enough to call them to make sure they're open and to expect us. The place itself is lovely and clean. It's clearly been renovated recently and is well taken care of. The decor is pretty and well thought out. The town itself is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and you can see some of them from the patio. The view of the garden is lovely as well. And they also have the most adorable monkeys in their home (right below the rental) that we loved watching on our way in and out. Overall, it's a top notch place and we will absolutely be back if we return to Slovenia, which we definitely hope to do.

    Slovenia is great.

    Slovenia is great. Alps on the east, mediterranean sea on the west, same country, distinctively different climate on each end of the country. Beautiful nature, castles, lovely valleys with rivers and waterfalls, unspeakably beautiful historic castles etc. We stayed in Domzale only, did not go out to the city, but the location is great. Just a stone's throw to the motorway and only 20min to the airport. Very convenient location

    Ljubljana's historic city center is very easy to get around...

    Ljubljana's historic city center is very easy to get around by foot and the historic center has a number of shops, restaurants, and even a city market. It is also easy to take a boat cruise on the Ljubljana river and see more sites. The castle is also within walking distance from the historic city center. One word of caution is about getting to Ljubljana from Vienna Airport, which can be cumbersome and time consuming. I took the train through OBB from Vienna Airport, which took nearly 8 hours as I had to make 3 transfers with one of them from train station to a bus station to a train station. The train was also very expensive (138 USD) to buy the ticket on the same day. When leaving Ljubljana to Vienna Airport, I was able to find online a shuttle van (Easy Drive) service from Ljubljana bus station to Vienna Airport, which I was able to book online several days in advance, and it was direct with no transfers, much quicker (4.5 hours), and cheaper (50 USD).

    The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute drive away, and the views from the top on a clear day are breathtaking, and a MUST if visiting the area... well worth ther 26 EUR round trip! Make sure you also visit Ljubljana ... one of the most beautiful small capitals in Europe . It's just 45 mins on the train from Kamnik Graben, and a much better option than driving as car parking in the City is approx. 2.50 EUR an hour. The pizzas at Pri Cesarju in Kamnik are simply the best, and if you want a great burger then '7 Burger' just outside Kamnik is a great option. If you have a car go up to Stari grad nad Kamnikom for a coffee and spectacular views, just a shame that the viewing platform remains closed and inaccessible. The Pekarna Center is a great bakery in the centre of the town, which is opposite the Veronika Cafe which serves the best coffee and cakes! If parking in the centre of Kamnik you get the first 30 mins free. Also remember that NO supermarkets open on a Sunday.

    Old Town very pretty and charming; interesting historical...

    Old Town very pretty and charming; interesting historical buildings to view and many lovely outdoor eateries/sidewalk cafes. My stay was short so I only took in the Old Town area and walked in the vicinity of the hotel; day trips to Lake Bled or surrounding area would enhance experience.

    Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia.

    Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia. It has a nice old style town and within easy car distance are some great walks in the higher mountains. I suspect at busy times of the year and the school holidays in Europe Kamnik will be a busy place and booking early will pay dividends.
