- From US$593.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 280 reviewsA peaceful getaway resort that takes one hour by bike from Nimmanhaemin. I found this paradise a few weeks ago when I was looking for a tranquill retreat surrounded by nature. I loved it so much that I brought friends this time to enjoy the weekend. The staff are polite and attentive, and the garden and the swimming pool are beautiful, with so much greenery everywhere. Also, if you have a bike, I strongly recommend you bring your bike as driving around Mae Rim was the best riding experience.Guest review byWandering BSouth Korea
- From US$243.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 176 reviewsLovely room with nice outside space. Nice walk to the swimming pool and dining area and the restaurant building was really elegant with a beautifully lit view and the reception area was very attractive too. Breakfast was good and the two dinners we had were high quality. I hope the resort will be able to encourage more people - I know the flooding in the area in October meant they had to cancel bookings. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 296 reviewsIt was my favourite hotel in Chiang Mai so far. I stayed in Hop Inn Airport so I knew what to expect. They have european style high quality beds, which support your back really well. They cleaned my room every day while I was getting coffee. My balcony got sunlight for many hours, but the room didn't get hot and AC was top tier. The location is good. There's a lot of shops and restaurants within 1km radius. The area itself is quiet.Guest review byPetteriFinland

I have been to Chiang Mai on many occasions, on school trips...
I have been to Chiang Mai on many occasions, on school trips, cricket tours and holidays and yet I still find it energising and an endless supply of interesting places to visit. Staying in the old town gives one access to all of the temples and statuary as well as a great many restaurants and, genuine, massage establishments. Grab works well up there so you can hire a car to Doi Suthep or other places close to town or you can join a tour group to places a little further afield such as Doi Inthanon or even Chiang Rai or Pai. If you go in November it will be a little cooler too so loads of walking to be done.Guest review byAnonymous - 10
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!Guest review byTanSingapore - 10
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.Guest review bySanyamIndia - 8.0

The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".Guest review byAnonymous - 10
Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.
Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)Guest review byW SukiSingapore - 10

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.Guest review byPitak YindeeamornchaiThailand - 10

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.Guest review byletalljoshMauritius - 10

This is a place where you can look up cool cafes and eatery places, get a motorbike ride for 20 baht and experience something new everyday. The elephant tours are exceptional, the night market in old town is fun, the different temples, hostels, the river cafes and places to hang out, the train to lampang, the events that go on all the time...its a fun, and friendly city and you want to be sure to have Kao Soi the best meal ever. Enjoy your time oh and Raming Tea is lovely when your hot from walking too much...they have a special air con room, and all the drinks they make and food is very very good.Guest review bySherylCanada - 10
Welcoming little town well worth visiting.
Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10
The cool & freezing weather.
The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.Guest review byRosnitaMalaysia
