Everything was perfect! It is a very new and beautiful resort directly at the beach. Stuff was really friendly and I loved especially the yoga classes. I also liked the live music in the evening, we heard some very good musicians! We would definetely come again!

This was the best Resot I have ever been to. I do fancy holidays every year but the Retreat was without a doubt the best Hotel I ever visited. Firstly this place is aesthetic as fuck. Perfectly designed, beautiful plants everywhere and just a very very nice vibe where you always feel private. The Breakfast: Absolutely Amazing. You get to choose between more than 3 Pages of Gournet Breakfast choices which all taste delicious! The View is also perfect! The Personal is very friendly and you feel very welcomed. Room: Absolutely perfect. Location: Right in the Center where you need to be. Just overall a perfect experience. We from Room 816 thank you guys for this amazing Experience. Kindest Regards, Aramas

Wonderful hotel. Great hosts, always very attentive and responsive. Large selection of breakfasts. Excellent location - close to a shop, many cafes and restaurants for every taste and budget nearby massage parlors. Two weeks have flown by unnoticed. I loved this place so much. Driving the last 200 meters up to Alisa’s from the main tarmac road brought you through local area with hens, children and lastly at the very end of the road to the garden of Eden, that Alisa and her husbond David had created with outmost care and imminent taste for beauty and tranquility. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, besides my own back home. The peacefulness at Alisa’s was only enhanced by the occasional hens, hornbills and other birds, but besides these natural sounds, Alisa was quiet and totally peaceful. Now with WiFi, possible to rent their scooter, they can arrange all kinds of tickets, including shuttle to Bangkok or the airport with pickup directly at Alisa’s. I visited all the beaches at Koh Chang, and besides Klong Kloi at the very south, then Kai Bai beach had a secluded and intimate charm, that the other beaches could not match. Watching the bathing elephants in the morning was an experience of delight, seeing how much these great creates enjoyed the refreshment. Alisa’s is totally new and not only spotless, but also in very delicate and soothing colors. David and Alisa kept a discretion to my second daily visitors, and always made sure to be indoor when I came home accompanied. The only minor little inconvenience, is that I had to drive 3-4 minutes in the morning to reach Kai Bai beach for a morning swim, but the reward was instant, almost entirely alone on this beautiful beach with its tranquil and warm water.

This beautiful small boutique resort couldn’t have been more perfect. The room and the outside facilities are amazing and so comfortable, but it is truly the people who work so hard to make our stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they made us feel so welcome. Keir and Eddie arranged for us trip to nearby islands too. Which was fantastic! It is peaceful and away from all the noise on busy party of Koh Chang. We enjoyed walks in nearby mangroo forest, we took a kanoe straight from the resort into nearby fishing village. And the food is amazing too, haven't had that good of Thai in awhile.

Lovely place to stay, chill and relax. Since it was low season the hotel was not very crowded so the pool area and the beach were very quiet. The beach is not rocky so it’s perfect and literally next to the pool. My room was huge ( 3rd floor, simple room I think) and everything was clean and tidy, modern furniture, super comfy bed and all. Staff was super friendly and helpful, you can have cleaning services every day. Breakfast very good with lots of options ( only at the end of my stay they opted for menu options instead of 100% buffet). Very good internet for the ones who need to work

The location is fantastic, with a beautiful beach, many restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu varied daily, offering a mix of local and Western options, including plenty of choices for vegetarians.

Beautiful, cozy bungalows nested on the river, at different heights, and connected with beautiful wooden bridges and passageways. Lots of vegetation. It’s a beautiful for the eyes resort. My room was clean, bed was comfy, overall very good compared to Thailand usual accommodations. No bugs found, no mosquitoes in the room, good ac, strong shower pressure, stable water temperature. Ac was not noisy. No smells in the room, no bed bugs (I check carefully every bed), no mold and linen where clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was served in a wooden large dock on the river, super quiet and suggestive with the morning Sunrays, of course covered by a roof. Good choice of food, local and western. A cook prepared eggs and homelettes in real time upon request.

Amazing and very stylish hotel. It's located on the quiet street far from the road noise. The beach is very beautiful and shared with only one more hotel so there are not so many people, almost none in the end of September. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with European and Thai food. Room on the third floor is very big and with terrace instead of small balcony like on the second floor. There are several nice cafes on the beach also Thai massage. 7eleven is very close and bike rent as well. 15 min by bike from the white sand beach and 5 min from Kai Bae Beach with lots of restaurants and bars.

I loved it! Was there a full week and felt so at home, didn’t want to leave. The grounds are beautiful, make sure to walk to the end of the grounds to find stunning cliffs and amazing spot for sunset. The property is huge with so many different rooms/villas but still felt really calm and grounded. Staff super nice and helpful. Has it’s own little private piece of the beach with sunbeds. Great location, very good long beach that is not overly crowded and has restaurants/bars/massage spots and fire shows during the weekend. But still not a loud party scene.

If you’re looking for peace & quiet with exceptional views, The Bhuvarin is definitely the place for you on Koh Chang. I would recommended paying the little extra for a prime villa as the view from the room is worth every penny. Very friendly staff but also extremely helpful. Tip : It’s worth renting a scooter directly from reception as they will assist you with renting one upon your arrival !

Great place from every angle :) Fantastic breakfast, great location, super beach and Thai massage options. 5-10 minute scooter ride to the "big-buzz" of the island. Scooters can be rented from across the street so everything readily available.

Awa was very nice looking with its large pool. Resort is clean and good customer service available. Location is also very good, kai bae beach and waterfall nearby. Buy 1 get 1 happy hour starting at 4pm is nice.

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could...

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

A wonderful stretch of beach, one of the nicest on Koh Chang to be fair. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed a 5 min bike ride away at the reggae place. I ate at the wonderful little shack just on the bend as you reach the beach, a mother and daughter making great som tam, Laab, Nam Tok, iced coffee etc

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and...

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.
