United StatesThe owner was so friendly and accommodating, she even let us check out very late and made us breakfast after the designated time because we woke up late. The property is beautiful and so well designed, and the rooms, although in the middle of the forest, felt clean and comfortable with limited bugs. I wish we stayed longer than one night.

New ZealandProbably the best place I've ever stayed in Thailand. Beautiful garden setting, amazing big breakfast included, and a short walk from a tiny soft white sand beach. The rooms are perfect - you can tell they care about the little details. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and have a great outdoor space to relax.

We spent 11 nights at the resort and we acctually did not want to leave, even for a scooter drive since it was so peaceful and we really needed the stress-out. We stayed in a room with our own pool and it was really lovely. Despite that, we also spent a lot of time by the big pool, and off-course, the beach. The staff is lovely! so kind and always smiling. Sim, is such a wonderful guy and nothing is to much of a problem for him. He even helped us book massage 3 times, and since there is no massage places close by, he asked them to come to the hotel and so they came and gave us massage in our own bungalo! The beach is lovely and aprx 1000 m long if you like to stroll along it. There is a few other resorts along the beach so you can variate the eating and drinking if you like. However, we really loved and prefered the food and drinks at the hotel, firstly because it was very tastful but secondly because of the staff and the cleaniness. We were on a boat-trip (excursion) one day, which the staff in the reception helped us book. Nothing much about that, some snorkeling, watching the sunset and eating barbeque. But well worth a try if you want to see some other views for a day. This was definatly one of my best vaccations I have had and I travel alot (2-3 times a year at least). The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The pool Villa was extremely comfortable and for us, it was preferable to a beach villa. It was easy to hire mopeds through the hotel. The beach and the sea were perfection. The fact that the resort is so small made the whole experience feel exclusive, and as if our comfort was a priority for the whole staff team. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant with lots of choice and great coffee! It was also easy to arrange onward travel through the hotel. Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret.
