- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 198 reviewsGreat little resort less than 10 minutes walk from the pier. You don't get disturbed though as any boats are quiet and don't come along very often. The place is great! Right on the beach you can watch sunrise from your own private terrace although we opted to walk down the steps onto the beach where there are some seats/hammocks dotted around. The room itself was clean, bed was super comfy and we had some quality sleep with the sound of the waves to sooth us. Was nice to have a good sized room with a terrace to dry our clothes. The first day we walked to some restaurants about 20 minutes away but decided to rent a motorbike as other beaches and restaurants are usually a 5-10 minute drive. The resort serve reasonably priced food both western and Thai (just in the morning and evening), with an idyllic view. When we left they also helped take our bags to the pier and I even forgot an item of clothing which they very kindly put on a boat to Koh Kood so I could collect it on the other side. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom
- From US$92.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 367 reviewsThis hotel had a 6.9 rating when we visited in Feb 2023. But as soon as you arrive you will see this is really erroneous. the cabins are all lovely, clean and spacious. With nice large patios. Beds are large, firm and all very clean. The infinity pool looking south across to Koh Kood is spectacular. The beach is nice, but not fabulous. The restaurant has new staff and improving every day. excellent on-site management and enthusiastic team working hard on this lovely hotel.Guest review byToddCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 169 reviewslocated right on the beach, with a little beach bar, serving drinks and food throughout the day to night. the room was exceptionally clean (& cleaned daily). the owners were so friendly and helpful with all our needs & requests. located next to a smaller pier with boats running twice a day to: Kood, Chang & Trat you can also get a smaller boat to Koh Kham for snorkelling. we loved it so much we extended for another 3 nights!Guest review byAmyNetherlands

The staff were very friendly and did their best since the pickup at the pier, they cared about every single little detail to make us have the best stay. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a calm and chill resort to relax by the beach. I will definitely come back again!Guest review byCarlos JoseBrazil
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 179 reviewsA very lovely resort on Koh Mak. The staff is amazing with all the requests and advice. The rooms are basic but clean with all you need for a laid back stay on this amazing island. The location is a bit out of the main area of the island, so scooter or a bike is a must. Great island vibes all around.Guest review byJanezSlovenia
- From US$49.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 143 reviewsA wonderful, peaceful place on the peninsula. From the restaurant, located on a hill, you can enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. We visited at the beginning of the season, so the resort was still undergoing some final renovation and cleaning work, but it did not affect our stay.Guest review byKiniaG.Poland
- From US$122.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 793 reviewsThis is a beautifully located property - the beach is clean and massive, perfect for swimming and kayaking (which they provide). The rooms were cleaned thoroughly and had a beautiful view of the sea. It was a luxurious break, and was possibly the best part of Koh Mak for usGuest review bySnehaIndia
- From US$70.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 126 reviewsWe liked the peace fully staying. Had a fantastic room with view over the island. There is an outdoor gym that we used all days. It has 3 big fans. Enough for doing exhausting activities. It’s a fantastic experience to do gym in this outdoor environment. Love it.Guest review bySusannePortugal

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.Guest review byMarty TUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.Guest review byFredUnited States - 8.0

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).Guest review byTyeJ_travelGermany
