- From US$70.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 126 reviewsWe stayed 5 nights in the suite at Good time and were very comfortable. The rooms & balcony were a good size. The balcony had a view over the beautiful gardens. The hot water shower and AC worked well, and there was a decent size fridge to keep our drinks cold. We were collected from the pier on arrival in a cute electric golf cart - bonus points for being green! The staff Mr Peak and Lek were friendly and helpful. We rented a cute scoopy scooter from Mr Peak for 200 baht /day in very good condition (hope in future there might be an affordable electric option too, better for the environment). It was nice that they had such beautiful grounds to walk about in and a swimming pool. We loved musing at the interesting & unique character of each of their other buildings scattered about the complex gardens. Daily housekeeping was available on request, as well as change of linens. We could also get water refills at reception , and buy an espresso for 35 baht (comes with a biscuit). The Wi-Fi worked well, great for remote working. there are comfortable chairs and tables to use, and a decent size wardrobe with a sufficient amount of hangers. The area is peaceful and quiet, with good beaches in walking distance as well as small convenience stores and a couple local Thai restaurants all within around or less than 15 minutes walk.Guest review byMariaUnited Kingdom
- From US$18.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 278 reviewsWe liked almost everything, from check in to check out. Koh mak is a small island, you can prob.see the full island in one day by renting a scooter. the property arranged everything for us, we were greeted with a mile wide smile by the receptionist/cook/all around helper named Pa. She let us checked in early, handed us cold bottled waters, showed us around, and cooked us delicious foods. The location was superb, very safe and quiet. The overlooking water view from our room and balcony, listening to the waves as you doze off, and the sunset were some of the highlights. The rates were so cheap, it felt like renting an overwater bungalow in a very quiet and remote island. We pretty much arranged everything with the property from meals to transportation at reasonable prices including a massage. All the staff made our stay very convenient and memorable. It is easy to gain a family here bc of the staff. This property exceeded our expectations. Book it!!!!Guest review byPaulSweden
- From US$55.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 143 reviewsA wonderful, peaceful place on the peninsula. From the restaurant, located on a hill, you can enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. We visited at the beginning of the season, so the resort was still undergoing some final renovation and cleaning work, but it did not affect our stay.Guest review byKiniaG.Poland

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.Guest review byMarty TUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.Guest review byFredUnited States - 8.0

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).Guest review byTyeJ_travelGermany
