ROOMS: super clean, most comfortable bed ever, with quality amazing linens & mosquito netting (but not needed as I wasn't annoyed by a single bug & they LOVE me!) Pool access room is awesome, with nice private porch with table & chairs for dining, playing games & what not. Also lounging type chairs. Smart TV & fridge also in room. Each room has a water heater in the shower so you've got all the hot water you want, or don't want. Easily adjustable. POOL: long, gorgeous, amazing & super clean. LOCATION: ideal. Close to walk to a couple great restaurants, where I ate every meal. 711 down the road & a 5 minute walk to Khlong Khong beach. Long, gorgeous, soft sand, swimmable, with lively beach bars & music all the way down. Oh & perfect sunset spot. VALUE FOR MONEY: Beyond a 10/10 Im not in great shape, nor a big walker, but you don't need to be if staying here. Its just off the main road, so it's peaceful & quiet, while still being close to everything, including a weed shop on the corner. Tuk Tuks easily available, or rent a scooter if you want. I didn't rent a scooter & felt fine getting where I needed to.

Breakfast is included! Toasts, jam, yogurt, fresh fruits, coffee and juice - perfect for a day start. Daily water in bottles. The stuff is friendly and always ready to help. It happened our AC stopped cooling all of a sudden and they fixed it asap. Scooter rent and various tours can be booked at the place. 15 min walk to the beach and about 20 to the night market. Cute cats living in the hotel:) And the hugest plus there are no kids! Thank you owners.

I stayed both in their Deluxe and Superior rooms. The Superior room was older and more worn-out, while the Deluxe room was renovated with a more pleasing decor. Located in a well-kept garden, the resort is very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist who helped me book a tour as well as my transfer back to the airport.

    Everything! That's why this is my 4th time staying at Pimalai. I'd say the service quality is one of the best in Thailand. The beach is beautiful, the infinity pool is gorgeous, you can observe sunset in a jacuzzi. The transfer to / from the hotel is very smooth, i have my 78 yr old dad with me who has difficulty walking, the hotel is very considerate and take us to a van & get to public ferry instead of Pimalai boat, but it went very well and very smooth. I am so looking forwards to my 5th time at Pimalai.

    Rayavadee!!!!! has to be one of the most magical places on earth. It’s like the happiest people in Thailand want to work there, and do. Service is exceptional and staff have a rare grace that is felt from the moment you step off the boat. Wonderful New Year’s party, fabulous breakfast buffet, and many great restaurants. It’s all so delicious. The property is one of a kind, naturally exquisite, well respected and preserved. Just gorgeous. Thoughts of returning at the end of this year helped us say goodbye.

    The connected rooms were excellent—clean, comfortable, and the beds were huge and very cozy. The staff was very friendly, and the location is fantastic. We traveled with a twin stroller and had no trouble getting around. Highly recommended for families! We traveled with four kids (ages 8, 6, 3, and an infant), and it was a great experience. The water slides were amazing! Rooms 222 and 223 are especially recommended, you can relax in the room while the older kids enjoy the pool just outside.

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    Phi Phi Island would have been better as a day trip. Food at area restaurants was not so good. Cheeseburger was not good meat. Spring rolls at another restaurant was not appetizing. And cheeseballs at cafe don were nasty and the fish was burnt. All smoothies were delicious. Hated pushy vendors.

    Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis. I ripped a pair of shorts at another pier which is not a great setup.

    It's a pretty rustic, typical old Thai town, the locals are lovely, peaceful people Krabi Airport :-Be sure to have some baht notes if you're taking a driver or taxi to your hotel- there are ATMs at Krabi airport but easier if you have cash The Friday & Saturday food markets are great for Thai foods of all sorts Take a long boat ride from along the riverside - a couple of hours touring the river and surrounds for 50 - 100 AUD Riverside Restaurant and Bar us a good place for dinner Blu Monkey is great little hotel

    It was a great time - I was there for the Oceanman event so there were a lot of people around for the time and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was jellyfish season, so it was not the best time for swimming in the ocean. But it was still a beautiful area.

    I’m completely biased.

    I’m completely biased. I loved everything and everyone involved in the place. No favourite thing. Many favourite things. Jungle, sea, boats cars tuk tuk and all. Most importantly I had the best guided tours on offer. Thank you. One and all. Appreciated and greatful ❤️

    A quiet area, quite remote with no shops (that I saw) but...

    A quiet area, quite remote with no shops (that I saw) but this added to the tranquility of the area. About 50 minutes from the airport, but worth the trip. We could have eaten at other hotels but were happy with the choices at our resort.

    The location was perfect and the view of the temple was stunning the host ice was fantastic couldn’t be more helpful. Not far from the bars and restaurants Lovely little villa. Thank you ice for an enjoyable stay

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.
