The hotel provides transportation to and from the center by local boats for its guests. There is no charge for this service upon arrival and departure. Otherwise, transportation to the town costs 100 bht per person. during the day and 150 bht. evening. In the vicinity of the accommodation, there are plenty of restaurants and shops where you can buy all the necessary things. The hotel also has a restaurant, which I can warmly recommend from my own experience. We were accommodated in the blue paradise villa, where we didn't miss anything. Stay away from the main town part if you want some quiet.
Stay away from the main town part if you want some quiet. It's over commercialized, and touristy. The resorts are overpriced for their services and amenities. However we loved Long Beach. It was a beautiful beach. If you like tea, I recommend you bring it from home. It's very hard to find good black tea in Thailand. When I stepped off the ferry, I was in absolutely awe, and immediately fell in love. It's a beautiful, small island, still packed with bars, restaurants and shops. I only stayed one night and I think 2 nights would have been enough. I did the phi phi viewpoint hike, which was killer, especially in the heat. It did get crowded for sunset, so grab your pictures before the crowd arrives. You can walk everywhere, no transport on the island as not needed. I ate at the pirate bar/restaurant, great beach view seating. I also ate at a little cafe near my accommodation, but can't remember the name......Guest review byLacyAustralia
