The hotel is also only a few minutes walk to the town center with lots of shops and restaurants. It was set up very clean and very cute. Our room is big and an infant crib was thoughtfully arranged for us. Breakfast was nice with a variety of choices and I like that they alter the menu slightly every day so it's not the same stuff. Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. Hisarönü Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - fantastic food, lovely Cappadocian wine and shisha. We even got given a free slice of cake as it was the owners birthday. It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. Göreme is truly a one-of-a-kind destination. The landscapes are breathtaking—fairy chimneys, cave houses, and stunning sunrise views with hot air balloons make it feel like you're in another world. Beautiful and quiet place. Less busy and less expensive than Georme. Locations near Uçhisar castle is very lively but rule is same. closer your stay to main hub costly and busier it gets.
