What I liked most about the Valora Hotel Resonance Taipei, Tapestry Collection by Hilton was its modern, elegant design and attention to detail. My friend and I stayed in a twin-room: it was spacious and bright, with great views and the beds were very comfortable. We were given complementary access to the lounge for one of the days we were staying there, and it provided us with excellent food and drink, with very hospitable staff. We also ate in the restaurant on the second floor one evening, which had a superb buffet and drinks selection. The hotel is very well located next to metro lines and has good access the shops and restaurants. The hotel facilities were excellent, especially the outdoor swimming pool and sauna areas. The staff were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend for a stay in Taipei.

The location for me was the main reason why I chose to stay at the hotel. I thought the check-in process was very smooth and the staff were very welcoming, providing lots of information on what to do and where to go in Taipei. They even offered a welcome drink and snacks. It was a perfect stay that ended again with a quick check-out and the hotel calling a taxi on my behalf.

Location is around 10 mins walk from Xinbeitou station, so is one of the more accessible hot spring resorts in Beitou. Views are superb looking onto adjacent park, hot spring museum and library from both the room and the in-house cafe and bar. Room quality was exceptional, on par with a Japanese ryokan - spotless condition, no noise leakage and super comfortable bed and tatami flooring. Hot spring bathtub in room was blissful (did not try the public bath or sauna) with similar view to the main room. Breakfast buffet was great and the complimentary beers and biscuits in the room were much appreciated.

    Great location just across from SongShan MRT station, very convenient , close proximity to the famous Raohe night market and Wufenpu Shopping district. There is a 24-hour Japanese restaurant which is great if you wanna grab very early or late night meals. The room was well equipped with attention to details, clean, modern and spacious. We also love the interior of the hotel and room. Those lovely furniture definitely set this hotel apart from the rest (of similar class).

    It was a nice stop for our trip.

    It was a nice stop for our trip. Nice city with large avenues and plenty of restaurants, I would've stayed and extra day or couple of days. There were options for day trips nearby that we didn't have time for. It was not difficult to navigate.

    Many kind and friendly people. Amazing night markets and 7-11s at almost every corner, which is super convenient. Great metro services, though it can be busy between 5-6 p.m. I would definitely return for future travels.

    Taiwan is boring really.

    Taiwan is boring really. The Hotel I stayed in made me dislike the country actually. No help at all re services. Give Taiwan a miss, Maybe when China takes over they will understand service and that the west is full of liars and bullshit artists.
