We loved our stay at Kameleon Blue. The place is in a really quiet area, few minutes walking from the beach. It has a beautiful garden with nice swimming pool. We enjoyed a lot the food in the restaurant, the only varied vegetarian menu in the area. The breakfast was big and super delicious with three different options to choose from. The staff was really friendly, very good vibes and we got really nice tips from them on getting around the island. You can book any day trip or transfer directly from there.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Facilities were amazing - massive pool and lots of deck chairs around the pool or at the private beach. Staff were so friendly and remembered my name whenever they saw me - it’s the little things! Rooms were amazing and spacious. Loved my balcony for morning chill time. Great central location. This resort is a great respite from people trying to sell you things on the beach or constantly trying to talk to you when you’re tanning (as a solo female traveller, this can get so tiresome.) definitely worth the splurge to stay here and feel so relaxed and soak up the sun. My flight was quite late at night and they let me store my belongings, use the resort and shower before it was time to go also :)

A beautiful place second time staying here! Truly relaxing stay in a lovely area. We loved the food and drinks available and the pool area is perfect, just a few steps away from the rooms. The best thing about this place is the staff, they are so accomadating, friendly with positive energy. Monica as always you are a ray of sunshine and thanks so much to Mary who took us to see the local school upon request. Thanks also to Elizabeth for showing us round and being so friendly and all the bar staff who made our favourite drinks! Nothing is too much to ask and the organisation of excursions was great. It won't be the last time for us to stay here. Thanks a million from Lauren, Kim and Lydia

It was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake and staff sang for me including the live band during dinner.Very thoughtful and nice of them. By the time I retired to my room,another surprise was waiting. They made up the bedroom beautifully with flowers and candles and wrote a happy birthday with my name. The manager Rakeesh ( I hope I spelt his name correctly) was also very nice and arranged some entertainment at The Pavilion Restaurant . Upon checkout,we had missed breakfast and Benjamin was kind enough to offer us pizza. Thank you to all the staff at The Residence. You made my stay beautiful. Also the privacy of having your own pool was really nice.

I came here after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my main goal was to sleep, swim and relax after the hike. Overall, perfect place if you are looking for a little hideaway. Lovely sea view from my room. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good, the pools are great. When there is low tide you can go in the sea to search for starfish. We found them. Paje, beautiful place and beach, plenty of restaurants both on the beach and on the road. The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
