Staff were incredibly warm and helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were surprised they had decorated the room and even left some beautiful (full size) skin care products as a gift. The room decor is also very thoughtful and functional. The hotel design is lovely too. You feel like you’re in the centre of the action too so its a great place to explore Stonetown.

The whole experience was fantastic. The room.- Arabica was gorgeous. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast on the rooftop is not to be missed. I only stayed one night but I will be back.

My stay at Golden Nap hostel was perfect. It exceeded all my previous hostel experiences The room is spacious and clean. Newly renovated and decorated with all comfort. Golden Nap is located right in the center of beautiful Stone Town, close to all tourist attractions and in the middle of the cosy and historical little streets of the city, which instantly gives a local vibe The hostel is locally owned - which is a plus! Hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with Super recommend this place!

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

I could say many things about this amazing property, starting with the beautiful rooms and the constant assistance by its super kind staff but to be honest I was particularly impressed by the location that is a real wonder of nature: this place is a paradise. I was upgraded in a Suite and I could enjoy one of the best sunset I can remember in recent times, not to mention the pristine beach. One special mention to the chef who assisted us personally and prepared some unforgettable Italian "spaghetti ai frutti di mare"!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hostel. Everything is great, interior, comfortable, great breakfast, good staff. At night we urgently needed to go to the hospital, the manager very quickly helped us with a taxi. We had an early departure, they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, thank you very much.

Very friendly and helpful staff who took care of us during our stay. They accommodated our needs to the best of their abilities and provided consistent excellent customer service. This hotel is in a great, convenient location if you wish to be located next to the beach where you can go on the small boats for cruises and Stone Town shops, cafes and markets. It’s also a short walk away from the Forodhani Park (night food market) and Darajani souq if you fancy some shopping. Overall 10/10 experience. Thanks for the fantastic service. I will be recommending your hotel to family and friends.
