- From US$1,350 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 317 reviewsFrom the first moment we entered Zuri it was perfect. This hotel guarantees perfect relaxation and high quality service from A to Z. We were really charmed by the place. Whether it was the spacious and stylish rooms, the highly professional staff, the high class gastronomy to the point of I would say fine dining cuisine or the private beach right by the Indian Ocean or the swimming pool where one could perfectly relax at any time of the day. There is really nothing in Zuri that is not an experience. If one has the opportunity to come to this hotel one should definitely do it because you will not find a better hotel in Zanzibar, and I dare say not even far and wide.Guest review byBarboraSlovakia
- From US$460 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsThe property is sprawling with a gorgeous beach and plenty of lush gardens. We booked a junior suite which was really spacious with the most enormous comfortable bed. We had a few issues but they were quickly resolved and we had amazing meals at the a la carte restaurants. I have to mention ‘Wok’ which was faultless and I would go back just to dine there. We also had a romantic beach dinner which was lovely. The water-sports centre is well equipped and we learnt to paddle board, we played lots of pool and we also played tennis every day. The court does need resurfacing but it is fine for a knock about. We would definitely go back there.Guest review byNicolaUnited Arab Emirates

Clean rooms and facilities, very friendly staff who are adaptive and flexible to meet all your needs. Food was great, option to eat at the beach. The place offered various activities during the day/evening so you can't get bored. Tried the SPA (couple program) which was good value for money. Also booked the romantic dinner on tthe beach, which was outstanding. Staff was very helpful with organising itGuest review byViktorNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 386 reviewsIt was a lovely place, located on quiet beach. With just 12 rooms, its perfect for a quiet getaway. The aesthetics are very nice, coming from an Italian owner. The food was superb, especially for Vegetarians, which can be a little difficult to find in Zanzibar, but to top it all, their craft beer was out of the world. Didn't expect such amazing craft beer.Guest review byankur1408United Arab Emirates

The vibes are great — everything you need is nearby,...
The vibes are great — everything you need is nearby, including shops, restaurants, and tour offices. Restaurants on the beach tend to be a bit pricey, but if you take a short walk into the side streets, you’ll find places offering the same quality food at much more reasonable prices. What I didn’t like were the beach boys — they’re nice and friendly, but can be a bit annoying as they keep trying to sell things. They’re not too pushy, but it’s hard to relax when someone approaches you every couple of minutes. The only time you can truly enjoy some peace is early in the morning. Important note : you have to strongly negotiate the prices and people are very nice and easy going Try to learn few words from their language they will be super happy :)Guest review byRaafat - 10

Zanzibar is an amazing destination with beautiful beaches, friendly people, and a rich culture. Stone Town is full of history and character, and the spice farms, sandbanks, and snorkeling trips make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I highly recommend visiting Zanzibar for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
It was a great stay for me and my family.
It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome. The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.Guest review byIwonaPoland - 10
Lovely beach on the Indian Ocean.
Lovely beach on the Indian Ocean. Lots of restaurants, bars and snack shops from higher end and usual fare to local pubs and dining. Beautiful views, jet ski, kite surfing and dhow or outrigger hires for snorkeling. beautiful clear water and you can walk the sandbars at low tide or swim there at high tide. An hour or so from Stone Town hustle and bustle, but still close enough for a day excursion.Guest review byRamonUnited States - 10
Matemwe was nice - the beach part.
Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. The food was amazing though - the hotel goes much beyond - and all day brekfast concept was amazing.Guest review bySonya B.N.Austria - 8.0

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.Guest review byCatharinaSouth Africa - 8.0
Michamvi is located approximately 65 kilometers from...
Michamvi is located approximately 65 kilometers from Forodhani, and the journey can feel quite long—particularly if you have just arrived in Zanzibar. The drive is somewhat uncomfortable due to the condition of the road, which consists largely of worn, uneven tarmac. Additionally, the area lacks local street food options, leaving nearby hotels—most of which are high-end and expensive—as the primary dining choices. As someone who genuinely enjoys the rich and flavorful cuisine of Stone Town, I found the food in the area to be rather bland and not reflective of its price point.Guest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom
