- From US$148.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 852 reviewsMicrowave, sizable fridge, coffee in room AND lobby, TV that swivels so you can see it from any place in room, competitive prices, table to work on, only 7 miles from Capitol Reef, not right on noisy highway, Quiet Time policy that must be observed between 10 pm and 8 am out of respect for other guests with a number to call in case people fail to abide by it (as a nature photographer who rises early and hikes many miles it was much appreciated).Guest review byPaulUnited States
- From US$112.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 270 reviewsI stayed at the Sunglow some years ago but the new owners have done a lot of work to update all the rooms and they are much more pleasant and modern. The new owner was exceptionally helpful and kind when I had a small car problem for which I am very grateful. Other staff were genuinely friendly and I enjoyed my stay. The cafe has good food (great local pies) and is a good option in Bicknell.Guest review byWilliamAustralia

We did not look at all our room choices, so we didn't get the view, or balcony, etc. But, it was all there to make a GREAT vacation. Wonderful S'mores campfires for the different zones. Great restaurant. Wish WE had looked carefully at room choices as this was a super place to stay, with restaurant. Loved watching the Alpacas/Llamas go out trekking with guests. The beautiful surroundings. Easy access to town and Park!Guest review byBetsy MeyersUnited States - 8.0

We enjoyed our time at Cowboy Country Inn because management was well organized and super efficient. The wifi and Direct TV were exceptional. Escalante has a Catholic church with a Sunday 5 pm Mass. Don't miss Escalante Outfitters - great pizza, exceptional coffee!Guest review byJeniferUnited States - 10

The hotel was situated at the right location for the places I wanted to see. To the east were the hanksville sites, to the west were the Capitol reef national Park attractions. If you wanted quietness this is itGuest review byAnonymous - 10

We were on a 5 week cross country vacation and saw a lot of hotels along the way...this was by far one of the best. This hotel has been newly renovated and the rooms are very inviting. The owners were very accommodating. Loa is a small town and everyone was very friendly. I would stay here again and recommend anyone looking at hotels between the Arches and Canyonland should definitely pick this one. You will not be disappointed!Guest review byMaryUnited States - 10

If you like to explore the desert, there are plenty of places to go off the beaten path. If you're not comfortable with that, there's a lot of beauty close to the road too. Hell's Backbone Grill was worth the splurge - delicious food and they even made us a special request cocktail that tasted better than the typical one you would get somewhere else.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10

Hanksville has lots of wonderful outdoor activities in and around the town, particularly Capitol Reef National Park and Goblin Valley State Park. If you aren't outdoorsy or active, there might not be much to do for you. The town itself is quite small, and not everything is open in the winter. It is cute and has character, but is not exactly exciting.Guest review byKellyUnited States - 8.0

The area is beautiful, but if it rains, you can't do much since all the hikes and roads will be muddy and the roads not passible in some areas. Torrey itself is lovey, small but very nice and a good amount of hotels and restaurants.Guest review byLorieUnited States - 10
A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability.
A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability. So if you are planning to do one, book early. There was only 1 restaurant that open while we were there. We love the Petrified Forest, Escalante River hike, Lower Calf Falls, as well as the Long Slot Canyon. Some of the attractions need a 4x4. Wish we knew ahead of time. Overall, very enjoyable! Cute little town with lots to do.Guest review byDianaUnited States - 8.0
Breakfast was minimal.
Breakfast was minimal. Granola bar and oatmeal which you had to ask for. No soap in the shower or extra toilet paper. They are definitely operating on a budget. No place to eat out in this town. Be prepared.Guest review byClintUnited States - 10

Of all the small towns in America, Loa has to be one of the best. Not a lot of activity as it is very small (no Walmart - so that's good). There is a really nice supermarket and a couple of gas stations. But what a surprisingly beautiful green valley that makes up much of Wayne County! It is also close to Capitol Reef National Park and you can go on to other Southern Utah parks and red rock country - or lots of other colors of rocks. I admit I have ancestors from Loa, but I have ancestors from a lot of small places that aren't nearly this nice, so I highly recommend.Guest review byGrantUnited States
