Friendly, helpful, personable and very cool staff. Fabulous decor and history throughout. Noteworthy, unique touches wherever you looked. I’m a huge fan of both Joplin and Cohen so I just had to see the location of the “unmade bed”.

Fabulous location just around the corner from Saks and a few minutes walk to St.Patricks cathedral- walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. Lovely staff who answered all of our questions. Quiet, spotlessly clean rooms which were surprisingly large by NY standards. A modern hotel with nice decor. Just to note there is no restaurant on site which we knew before booking, plenty of options for food close by. Would highly recommend

The location was perfect for me to easily walk to client's office. Exceptional breakfast and wait staff were friendly and professional. Great value for money for a hotel in New York. Up market and ideal for conducting a breakfast meeting. Front desk staff and General Manager were very helpful in sorting out an issue I had with international adapters.

FAQs about hotels in Manhattan

Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps

Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Manhattan. This legendary island is everything you’ve seen and read. And more.

Its most famous skyscraper is the Empire State Building, though some argue that views from the Top of the Rock in the Rockerfeller Centre are even better as they actually feature NYC’s most iconic building. Equally unmistakable is the Chrysler Building, overlooking Grand Central Station whose interior is pristine.

Wandering Times Square it’s easy to see why this city never sleeps. Broadway, with its theatres, runs through it and continues to Central Park, a haven of greenery. At its midway point is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA is another museum nearby.

Other midtown Manhattan attractions include Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral, while further south are the intriguing districts of Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. Streets in between house the bastions of New York shopping – Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.

However, the real business goes down at Manhattan’s southernmost tip, where Wall Street houses the New York Stock Exchange. North-west is the Ground Zero Memorial, while from southern Battery Park ferries depart to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Space is at a premium in NYC so there aren’t many Manhattan hotels with free parking. However, Booking.com does offer great Manhattan hotel deals, including cheaper options.

This was a big hotel, right in the centre of Manhattan. Easily accessible to JFK and La Guardia airports with just a $3.30 subway fare. It was the perfect location with everything nearby and within walking distance; the subway, Times Square, the Rocker Fella Centre (yes we know that's not what it is but the auto correct was worth keeping for the lols)❤️ The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and the prices were very reasonable. We ate in the bar and the food was well priced and very good.❤️ We had coffee and a sandwich in the cafe and the service and prices were also good. We had a great view of the city and the room was clean and comfortable.❤️ We had breakfast here each morning, often there was a lineup to get in but it didn’t take long to get a seat. The food was a buffet style, there was a choice of a hot or cold breakfast. There was bread to toast, pastries, cooked vegetables, eggs (no shortages here), bacon, sausage, and pancakes. The fresh fruit was outstanding, so fresh and delicious. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a variety of juices were available.❤️ The staff were quick to clean the tables so that others could use them as people finished their meal - this is a hotel whose staff are customer focussed. Remember to tip them!!

this was an experience! friendly staff, great location, cozy and comfortable rooms, unique design, rooftop club where guests can jump the line, if they are friendly to the doorman, legendary, hip and relaxed atmosphere and all in all an experience that you do not forget easily. looking forward to staying at the standard again! I would ask for a coffee machine next time, because there is the option I was told later.

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.
