FAQs about hotels in Manhattan
Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps
Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Manhattan. This legendary island is everything you’ve seen and read. And more.
Its most famous skyscraper is the Empire State Building, though some argue that views from the Top of the Rock in the Rockerfeller Centre are even better as they actually feature NYC’s most iconic building. Equally unmistakable is the Chrysler Building, overlooking Grand Central Station whose interior is pristine.
Wandering Times Square it’s easy to see why this city never sleeps. Broadway, with its theatres, runs through it and continues to Central Park, a haven of greenery. At its midway point is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA is another museum nearby.
Other midtown Manhattan attractions include Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral, while further south are the intriguing districts of Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. Streets in between house the bastions of New York shopping – Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.
However, the real business goes down at Manhattan’s southernmost tip, where Wall Street houses the New York Stock Exchange. North-west is the Ground Zero Memorial, while from southern Battery Park ferries depart to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
Space is at a premium in NYC so there aren’t many Manhattan hotels with free parking. However, Booking.com does offer great Manhattan hotel deals, including cheaper options.

- From US$689.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 7,166 reviewsThis was a big hotel, right in the centre of Manhattan. Easily accessible to JFK and La Guardia airports with just a $3.30 subway fare. It was the perfect location with everything nearby and within walking distance; the subway, Times Square, the Rocker Fella Centre (yes we know that's not what it is but the auto correct was worth keeping for the lols)❤️ The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and the prices were very reasonable. We ate in the bar and the food was well priced and very good.❤️ We had coffee and a sandwich in the cafe and the service and prices were also good. We had a great view of the city and the room was clean and comfortable.❤️ We had breakfast here each morning, often there was a lineup to get in but it didn’t take long to get a seat. The food was a buffet style, there was a choice of a hot or cold breakfast. There was bread to toast, pastries, cooked vegetables, eggs (no shortages here), bacon, sausage, and pancakes. The fresh fruit was outstanding, so fresh and delicious. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a variety of juices were available.❤️ The staff were quick to clean the tables so that others could use them as people finished their meal - this is a hotel whose staff are customer focussed. Remember to tip them!!Guest review byNeilAustralia
- From US$1,156.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 494 reviewsThe Studio Suite with the cathedral view was EXCEPTIONAL! Waking up to a breathtaking view of the towers of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall's iconic neon signage down the road, and the city skyline was a luxury we enjoyed every morning. And when our children went to bed, being able to watch our same view transform by night was a priceless perk we did not take for granted, and thus sat for a few minutes just staring out before we turned down.Guest review byFrancisco Rafael A.Philippines

We borrowed the free bicycles every day and had a great time riding in NYC. The rooftop bar is a must! Fresh fruit and popcorn as a welcome present was also amazing.Guest review byMariusSwitzerland

Too expensive compared to 3 years ago . Everything has doubled in price . For instance Water and coffee are 5 euro a shot. A hotel room was 657 a night that used to cost 145. There are better deals elsewhereGuest review byEAMONIreland - 10.0

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were ”shenanigans” at Newark.Guest review byMargaretAustralia - 2.0

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….Guest review byPhilip - 10.0

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.Guest review byCornelius - 10.0

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.Guest review byReyesUnited States - 6.0
