The lake and the neighborhood is great if you want to just enjoy nature. There is little activities to do but just the necessities. Nature and history is huge. Very calm and serene. Scenery was amazing. Our accomodations were very comfortable. There is a lack of public transportation in Fawnskin, but once you are on the other side of the lake, Mountain Transit makes it easy to get around. We are regular visitors to the mountains, only live 50 miles away, easy to get to for us. Prefer off season, not crowded, plenty of local hiking trails, we take dogs, pet friendly accommodation readily available.
