We had a wonderful stay in Hoi An at the Grand Sunrise Palace. We booked the Presidential Suite for 3 days. Great room with little surprises every day (cakes, wine) a great welcome and perfect service. the hotel staff was friendly and helpful at all times. big thanks goes to Luna .She made our holiday perfect. Thank you for that. The location is great. It's a 15-minute bike ride (free) to the beach and the city. The location is absolutely fine. breakfast with a large selection. We can highly recommend the hotel.

The staff at this hotel was incredible! Everyone was so friendly, very obliging and super professional. The rooms are clean, well equipped and the bed is really comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very big with a lot of different options. I alsway want to point out the Spa. I had a vietnamese massage, foot massage and facial done by Dao. She was amazing and the whole session (120 minutes) was really relaxing and pleasant. I actually extended my 2 night stay to 5 nights in total - so that says everything i guess:)

I was welcomed with one of the warmest greetings from the staff. As I walked in, a woman named 'Wendy', hosted me with exceptional hospitality. The room was superb. Best of all, Wendy taught me hpw to ride a scooter, which enabled me to go on a solo bike ride to-and-fro MySon sanctuary and around. Loved my stay there.

If you go to Hoi An i would highly recommend you this hotel. Aside for the fair price per night, the included breakfast is really nice, the room is clean and with a lot of light thanks to the balcony. The distance to the center is close enough to go walking and is way nicer to stay a bit away from the center due to the noise, people and traffic. They also offer free bicycles with the rice fields just next to the hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and speak good english. We had read about a lot of hotel scams in vietnam (fake reviews) so we want underline that our review is 100% real and what we experienced.

    On check in we were offered a paid upgrade from our pool/river view room to the sense villa. For the extra cost per night we instantly said yes. Amazing room with private pool! Hotel is in a good location with some nice places to eat nearby. Liked to free mini bus into Hanoi town, there was an issue with the bus one day and the hotel paid for a taxi to take us into town. Made use of the free cycle hire as well to explore around the area. All the staff were friendly. Variety of choice for breakfast. Would recommend and will definitely go back hopefully next year.

    Beautiful old town.

    Beautiful old town. Would recommend a visit to Poison which does tasty iced coffee and good food. Hoi An roastery coffee is also a good stop for coffee. Faifo coffee is also lovely, go upstairs to get great rooftops views over the old town. Have a wander and bargain at the night market always good fun. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from but the best thing is coffee.

    The snorkeling here is mediocre. The visibility is not very good, and the coral and fish are not worth the effort. The town itself is chill, but the food is not so special. Da Nang and Hoi An had better restaurants.

    We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people.

    We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people. Everyone has their own room and bathroom which was great and the bedrooms are very comfortable and large with very big beds and phenomenal air conditioning. Communal areas need work tho!! We couldnt enter the kitchen due to a horrific smell from our arrival and there was no plave to relax by the pool. Outdoor furniture would be good. Overall, in particular due to air conditioning, we enjoyed our stay and host was very responsive via whatsapp but not sure Id recommend due to lack of quality communal space, mass of bedding and cleaning ongoing on upper level and fowl kitchen.

    If you want to get a feel for a sleepy town which is not a...

    If you want to get a feel for a sleepy town which is not a tourism magnet then this is a place to experience a real local town in Vietnam. Add to that the Quang Nam museum in the center of town is very interesting to visit. Hopefully there will be more information for foreign visitors around! The beach is not that far and it is worth to rent a bike or car and spend sometime around some of the villages around the coast there. They have a lot of characters. The food in Tam Ky, especially seafood is awesome too!

    Booked 5 nights to relax but reduced to 3 as very little to do and lacking facilities for lounging on beach. Beaches were a hot walk away, with steep climb. Some nice seafront cafes - local, not Western.

    An Bang beach is the perfect base for a visit to Hoi An. It’s lovely to have the beach for the day with the town being only a 10 minute taxi away for the night time lanterns. It's a beautiful beach - golden sand, warm sea, gently shelving so v safe for kids. Lots of lovely beach bars and restaurants but not a glitzy party place. More low key and family friendly.

    If you want a truly immersive Vietnamese experience without big city noise you should visit Hoi An. It’s a cozy little town, the ancient town at night with the river lined up with lantern boats, silk and leather shops, wonderful tailors shops, small temples, people enjoying Bai Choi game and singing, the basket boats, the lovely rice fields…..it was truly local and beautiful.

    This is an island. There are no hotels and cars on it. Only guesthouses and bikes. Great nature and diving. You can drive up to the lighthouse, but circular movements around the island are now impossible, in several places there are collapses of stones. Look for guesthouses with fresh good reviews, they may not have a sea view, but there will be clean comfortable rooms. Good diving spots! 1-2 days is enough for the trip
