United StatesAna an her staff did everyhing to feel home, to feel welcomed and enjoy my stay. The room was clean ,well enough for a backpacker. The breakfast was excellent fresh fruits, coffee eggs. Location is nearby the city center , and if you feel to walk in high humid temperature, you will be close to everything. ( I did ).

AustraliaThe family room, the pool and the complimentary breakfast and how close it was to family and Apia city. The staff were very nice and patient at checkin. Despite it being half a medical centre and a hotel it was wonderful. I would definitely come back again! Since being in Samoa since the 09th have had issues with all of our accomodations. In the hopes of Alec's Hotel being our last accommodation before we departed, it was nice to finally feel that my expectations were met. Also thank you to Camilo for helping me get a bigger room for my family as I had originally booked a 3 bed room and for allowing me to take my kids early this morning to have a quick swim before leaving.

Room was quite spacious, air con and fan, useful amenities and cold water in teh fridge as well. The facilities were super nice, there were water filling stations averywhere. Breakfast was really good, but I need to mention that the bakery stuff were superb. Food in general was very good. Staff were so accommodating and lovely, and even though were are staying a couple of nights in another resort, we will go back for the dinner show tomorrow. Concierge was really helpful. Lovely place, very interesting culture, hired a car, went to swim at Turtle Bay, drove into the town to look around. Bought food at some of the local food places, but the best food and price was the resort itelf. To get around one does need to hire a car, they are expensive however. But to get the feel of Samoa, necessary. There are cheaper places to stay, it depends on what you want. A beautiful new airport complements the island, previously was a tin shed but what was lovely about that was the welcoming group singing and paying guitars. There is so much more to Samoa to see than just Apia. There are many beautiful resorts on the southern side of the island and many great snorkelling spots. 2 restaurants we enjoyed in Apia with Paddles and Giodarno's. I was only here for one night, for proximity to my early flight the next day. I would probably stay a couple of nights if returning to enjoy the facilites and surrounds.
