The room was exceptional. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets of a very high quality. The bathroom and shower were wonderful. You couldn't ask for more. I also think the doors had double glazing as once you closed them all noise disappeared

Our time at Madikwe Safari Lodge was magical, I cannot put in to words how special this holiday was for us. The property was stunning, rooms were beautiful, staff so attentive and friendly and our guide Mike on our game drives was SUPERB! Also, the food is fantastic!! So many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner it was hard to choose each time! We would not hesitate to return to Madikwe Safari Lodge!

What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer! They have a full board package meaning whatever you paid includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and a morning and evening game drive. Everything for my 5 year old child was free. There's a kiddies play area with swings and trampoline and a kiddies room . Swimming pool . Saturdays they have a boma braai for those who love their pap and meat.

The hotel was ideally situated. However, both access roads have been neglected by the current municipality. What a sad state of affairs with the blatant mismanagement we see in the Klerksdorp and surrounding suburbs.

Good city in general with plenty of open space for its...

Good city in general with plenty of open space for its growth but the crossing between Dadford and Proctor can be frustrating with the traffic that leave you stranded. Also the Dadford road full of holes, need to be maintained until it is either tarred or paved (I might confuse between Dadford and Proctor which one is tarred). I found the city people to be friendly and helpful. That alone can make you visit the city regularly. And the weather was fantastic, warm . Unfortunately there was no opportunity to visit the game reserve. Next time Issue of plastic bags laying in some open space must be sorted out. They give a dirty image on a city with good potential for growth. Lately, issue of reaching the city either by plane or coaches should be resolved. It is a pity that no plane could be found to shorten the distance with Gauteng. Even coaches where not available between Gauteng and Mahikeng. Resolving the issue of public transport between the Gauteng hub and Mahikeng could increase the number of tourists flocking to this warm city

Pilansberg is a 3 hour from Johannesburg.

Pilansberg is a 3 hour from Johannesburg. It is easily accessible however the roads to the Pilansberg are not in great shape. It would be best to take a shuttle than to drive yourself. The park is fantastic with all the animals. We saw many lion, a leopard, many elephants, many rhino and lots more. I highly recommend.

Not a big town but since I was going to the villages I enjoyed a lot of open land driving and walking. The district is very big though. Although the name is fancy is not that upmarket town. Is a very welcoming town where everyone just fit in. I like the mixture of town and village setup.

I attended the Glen Jones concert.

I attended the Glen Jones concert. It was convenient to go to Sun City. It was 12 km away. The chalet was clean. If I had time we could had a braai. Also easy access as day visitor to Sun City. They offer game drives and games.
