The pictures here add value to the room, is small and it could use a door sweep as the room was getting with dusty because of the space at the bottom, and there was a strong smell of weed coming from other rooms frequently.

Good location and very responsive staff. Is value for money, the room is well-appointed and nice to have a code to enter the building and the room.

Missed my morning flight and flew through Denver instead. The hotel staff were very understanding and accommodating with potentially offering refreshen up facilities and storing luggage to enable a days sight-seeing in San Francisco before catching my late night flight. (The airline ended up checking my luggage through to the final destination.)

Amazing location. Right at the heart of San Francisco. Close to bus station but we were also able to walk to China town, minutes of walk away from the awesome Polk street restaurants and bars, 5 min walk from Whole Foods, 10 min drive from financial district. Service was excellent and one of the best I’ve ever received. I travelled to 20 countries and multiple cities, but Calista (especially Walden, the host) treated us amazingly. We got treated with a nice surprise gift upon arrival and we were one text away from asking for fresh towels, clothing irons etc. Walden ensured we got everything we need, gave local recommendations, checked us in in person, woke up early to say bye to us when we departed and was always there. Not only I will come back to Calista on my next San Francisco visit, but I will recommend it to all my friends

“The Calista Organic Hotel is a great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service, all this packed in a best value for money approach. Before arrival, the hotel’s personnel was kind enough and stored my luggage until the check in time. The check-in experience was very good, the room was very clean and fresh, the bathroom was contemporary and convenient, even equipped with shampoo/conditioner and body gel. There was a small fridge, perfect to keep your beverages or meals cold, there was also a microwave oven to warm up your food if needed which is a very welcome feature. A red bottle of wine, was also a nice gesture where you don’t find that often. There was cable tv installed, and the internet connectivity was good enough for flawless VPN work, but also to be used for streaming services at the same time. Really glad that there was a desk and a chair, where I could work with a laptop in convenient way. Very easy to check in, you receive an e-mail with detailed instructions, and the smart locks, make it easy to get into/out the hotel 24/7, without relying on human intervention. You type your pin codes and you ‘re in quickly and safely, no physical keys are needed. The bed was very comfortable, and sheets and towels were soft and of good quality. This is not a cheap hotel. This is a value for money hotel in a very good location, surrounded by many restaurants, public transport is close, even one of the iconic SF cable train stop is very close. Last but not least, the hotel’s personnel were super helpful during all the different stages of my stay. People were there while I had to check in, helped a lot during my stay by providing useful tips about the area in general and on top of everything organized my departure from the SFO until the last detail. There was also free bottled water and chocolates at the reception. Highly recommended!!! Had a stunning experience overall.”

I recently stayed at Calista Organic Hotel in San Francisco. It’s not a luxury place, but it’s cute and nice for a one-night stay. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The location is really good, with a bus stop just 1 minute away and supermarkets nearby. Also, plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel, so you definitely have a choice. The staff is super friendly, and we liked everything about this place. The rooms are cozy, and city noise is minimal. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay again!
