Can’t help the location off Route 66 but parking lot and outside area cramped stray people wandering through parking lot while unloading made us feel a little unsafe but that is not the staffs fault it’s the location

Nostalgic memories and lots of history!

Make sure they give you a room in the Hotel not the Motel, and you will have a stay to remember.

The front desk tried to put us in the Motel building across the El Rancho Hotel. After insisting on getting a room in the main building, that's what we had booked, expected and were looking forward to, they finally agreed and gave us a room in the El Rancho Hotel. The room was tiny, the bathroom very tiny. The pool was closed.

We liked the ambience, the decoration, the wild west themes, the memorabilia.

    What's not to like.

Fantastic historic hotel that has maintained all of its character. Very accommodating staff. Offered a room in the old section. Allow our small dog.

A fabulous historic hotel. As soon as you walk in it is wow! Memorabilia abounds. Although the room and ensuite are a little small, the shower is huge and the bed very comfortable. There is plenty of room to sit in armchairs in the entrance hall or the second floor balcony to read or simply relax. A very relaxing stay.

TV had cable issues, but hotel restaurant, bar, Libby was plenty. Pool being refurbished, wish that had been open, next time...

LOVE this historic jewel. Awesome in every way. Staff wonderful too.

Very busy, could have used 2 check in people. There were 2 people, but only one checking in.

Best burritos and beans I ever ate. Security people easily identified walking the area. Best room and bed right behind LA Pasada.

Bathroom was a bit small so tall people may struggle, however that is sometimes the case with old buildings. It just added to the quirky!

Loved the hotel and all the quirky details there. Enjoyed staying there and exploring the old route 66 town of Gallup. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely. Room was nice and comfortable and had all necessary facilities.

    Dining area very slow

The hotel has seen an improvement and this stay for me was better than what I had 9 years ago. The photos and pictures of the past are amazing. I re booked this hotel as was travelling with my cousin and I wanted him to see the lobby with all its history

Restaurant was horrible. Margaritas like from cheap spring break resort for students. Fajitas ? O my. We very much regret this diner. We really regretted our decision to eat there.

The room was very cool. Route 66 climate. We took lots of photos and video in our room. Excellent idea for decorations. And shower! First hotel shower delivering good amount of water.
