The rooms were all ‘quirkily’ themed. I stayed I believe in the Safari room. It had a garden view, a TV & plenty of electrical points for me to plug my phone & watch etc in

Family road trip through California NPs and coast. 18 days / 9 different places to stay overnight. This one was first. Older equipment but super clean. All good. Close to Joshua Tree NP. We would recommend it. Only one thing we wish to have here: Table and chairs to sit as family for breakfast or games. Definitely nice place to stay.

Although I don't typically like a "motel" (vs a "hotel), we were in the courtyard and I felt safe. I didn't hear the guests in the room next door. The rose bushes were in bloom and they were beautiful. Having coffee in the lobby was nice.

The accomm was well located in close driving proximity to Joshua Tree NP. The staff Mike and Tina are friendly and accommodated well for our late arrival. The room was big and bed was comfortable. We couldn’t find wifi however we only stayed there a short while so no problem.

The Rooms are HUGE! There was plenty of space to lay out our suitcases and all the other gear we were travelling with. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Although they don't provide breakfast, there was a good, inexpensive cafe only 800 feet north of the motel ... (easy walking distance) ... that had a great Route 66 vibe!

The television cable would only allow 1/2 hour of viewing before it would shut down and reboot. The remote control was wearing out and therefore the tuning was laborious.

I was pleased with the courtyard outside my room. I was happy to have a small refrigerator and microwave because of my extended stay. The bathroom was very large and nicely tiled.

Take the following list with a grain of salt - I am NOT complaining about my stay, just identifying the negatives so folks understand they shouldn't expect a 5 star place for a 2 star price. You get what you pay for, and a little more here. The furniture in my room just needs to be discarded. It's dated, old, and worn. The TV service they use is fiddly. The front door didn't close very well - in fact, they had a supplemental deadbolt because the main deadbolt doesn't line up with the door jamb. The 'breakfast' amounts to free coffee in the lobby, best as I can tell.

This place is a great value. Yes, the reviews about dated furniture are accurate, but it's clear they're working on remodeling and updating the facility. I hope they continue updating - the place has so much potential. My room was clean and had new flooring and a mostly-new bathroom. The peaceful shared rose garden outside my sliding door was perfect for morning coffee or enjoying a drink before bedtime. I didn't use the pool, but that area looked well maintained or recently refurbished. The staff were pleasant. Based on what I paid, I have no complaints.

We were unable to be provided any extra pillows and the ones on the bed were very thin. The bathroom also needed a wipe down around the light switches.

Lovely rose garden and super friendly staff. Parking was very close to our room.
