The reception staff was very welcoming, with a smile and a lot of patience, they explained carefully how everything works in the hotel from the garage to the breakfast and the SPA. The room was spacious, with all amenities you may need and extremely clean. The cleaning ladies, very lovely greet you with a smile and are all over cleaning all day, impressive. The SPA was wonderful, starting from the pool area to the sauna and steam bath, everything was perfect! I will for sure turn back again there.

THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. Cool and clean property with a very nice host and cute rooms. You can find parking near the property at P1. It’s a 2-minute walk away. You get a better price for parking because you are a hotel guest. When you arrive, the hotel host lets you park behind the hotel first, to unload your luggage and then you can move your car to the designated parking areas. It was very good, the breakfast was ok. It was not as rich as other hotel breakfasts, but it was ok.

Pension Bergfried is located in Hallstatt, 150 metres from the shore of Lake Hallstatt. It offers functionally furnished rooms, some with a balcony.

Dinner is really nice with kid menu as well. But need to be patient as a little bit long waiting time. Close to salt wine and better to go there in the morning to have enough time visit on the mountain.

I might have had one of the best rooms. I had the direct view to the marketplace from my balcony. Room was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served in Heritage hotel near the ferry station and it was a delicious
