The room was quiet, modern, exceptionally clean and surprisingly larger than expected. The bathroom was sleek and modern in style with excellent water pressure in a large shower. The sink and counter were large, clean, well lit. Towels were large and smelled good. The staff at Motel One were extremely professional, warm and friendly and so accommodating! While this hotel is only three stars, I found it was more aligned with five star properties I have stayed in throughout Switzerland and other parts of Europe. I was so impressed with the overall experience, I would consider routing myself through Basel again on the near future…and will add more time onto the visit to enjoy this great hotel, it’s superb service and staff and it’s great location in this fantastic city!

Very friendly welcome. Good position in proximity of the city center and railway station. Bars, restaurants and public transport (all free for guests!) easily accessible and in walking distance. Room was tidy and comfortable. Good breakfast with excellent service.
