The Harbour House was absolutely perfect. After a long day of travel, and not ideal weather upon arrival, this place became our sanctuary. The accommodation exceeded our exception with wonderful view, kitchenette, large bathroom/shower and it was warm and cozy. We ate in the hotel as well, which was an amazing dinner. AND breakfast included in the morning.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. This was a great stop to recharge our batteries before continuing our trip. Our room was clean and bed was super comfy with a nice view at the loch. We had a very tasty dinner and the breakfast was delicious as well (homemade meals prepared by the owner, who is a very good cook). For us it was 10 out of 10 experience and we would highly recommend it.

Love the Building and the Views. Restaurant is superb, lovely food and very attentive staff. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Such genuine hospitality from all of the staff. Very animal friendly also which makes a real difference. We’re booked in for October so cannot wait for that! Our room was immaculate and had everything you wanted, including luxury toiletries.

Such a lovely location and views but the hotel has been lovingly upgraded with a gorgeous colour scheme. Breakfast was lovely. All staff we encountered were professional and polite.

Great location we were put in the lighthouse apartment which was a great surprise as we didn’t ask for this, was gorgeous place although some furniture was broken, 1 of single beds and a chair but we just didn’t use it. Was comfortable and spacious. Everyone was so helpful until last day when my elderly parents got highjacked into paying a bill for upgrade which we did t have it order. This was quickly rectified tho but left sour taste. Breakfast was lovely and catered for even me as a picky gluten free.

Stunnning hotel in amazing location. Our room particularly the bathroom would benefit from an upgrade but the view from the room over the harbour, the tasty and affortable food and the truely lovely staff more than made up for the antiquated plumbing.

The location is exceptionally good overlooking the Portpatrick harbour and Irish Sea. We had decided to upgrade to a sea view room and were so pleased that we did as our twin-bedded room had views of both. Breakfast had most items you could want. We were very happy with selection.. The hotel is being refurbished and was in great shape inside and looked fresh and clean. Various seating areas to sit inside and out depending on the weather. This is a lovely hotel to relax in and wind down or explore the surrounding countryside.
