TurkeySo they clearly stated here that reception was not open for a couple of hours at the weekend, and I happened to be arriving around those exact hours on a Saturday. You know what they did after we exchanged a couple of messages beforehand? They found a solution for me (and two other guests) to check in without waiting for hours!
If you think that this is what a hotel / hostel / guesthouse should do and there is nothing outstanding about it, wait until visiting a certain hotel down in Amsterdam, get left out at night because they can't check you in at those hours because there's nobody at the reception, and acknowledge that these guys at Breidablikk are exceptionally helpful, nice and also practical people.
