Easy to locate, just outside the main part of the town, but only a few moments on bike or a little longer of walking down the lane to Billand town. Even though we flew in, taxi to the accommodation, we rented bikes from the owners for the duration of our stay, so we could have the local experience rather than taxi or car rental options, definitely recommend with all the bike lanes.

The hotel is a historic inn in the center of a very small town. The room is basic, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The large bed is comfortable. The young woman who staffs the reception desk was very friendly and went out of her way to be helpful. The restaurant is huge and very nice! Apparently people come from all over the region for dinner. The large breakfast buffet has every possible option and is delicious. We really liked the fact that the hotel invited guests to pack a “to go” lunch from the breakfast buffet.

Birkende B&B’s simply decorated guest rooms feature wooden floors and a seating area. Toilets and showers are shared. Beautiful grounds. Comfortable rooms. The property is big and great for children. There are sheep, goats, black swans, and a bunny! Everything here is so well maintained by the owners. They are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Denmark.

Attention to detail and cleanliness. Indoor and outdoor! Kitchen including more than expected for guest to brew coffee/tea or cook a full meal. Recycling was easy! Comfortable beds, chairs and sofa were it’s plenty of storage and places to hang coats and shoe racks!

The area is so nice and our daugther loved the big pretty garden with the nice playground and the animals. For breakfast our girl got such a sweet kids-plate which was her highlight of the day. The hosts are very nice and built a little paradise.
