The location is exceptional bordering the Nature reserve of the Drakensberg world heritage site. The food is phenomenal. Having 3 buffet meals per day included in the price.

Breakfast always has a good variety of foods, and staff are very attentive and friendly. For the Comrades's runner we require a very early breakfast and i find it very slightly disappointing, as the hotel is 90% full of runners from all nations. A special shout out to the concierge ( a tall , solid looking, white Sth African whose name i cannot remember), he service was OUTSTANDING. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

Their kindness and attention to detail made my stay memorable despite being brief. The view from my bedroom was truly breathtaking.

We really enjoyed our stay at this tranquil place. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. The beds were comfy! My 2 year old loved the outside play area and there were toys as well in the main house. What a lovely cosy place if you are looking for a weekend escape to the Midlands.

The lodge features 7 cabins which each have their own splash pool and BBQ facilities. It offers a seating area, terrace and a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and an oven. You can enjoy sightings of buck, wildebeest and various bird species from your room. We loved everything here! Especially the big terrace with the private swimming pool and the terrace upstairs with the comfortabele chairs. The cabin is very big with three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a huge kitchen and living room. The beda are very comfortable and the bathrooms too. We also made use of the spa facilities which were good.

The cottages are fitted with a stove, microwave, fridge, a well equipped kitchen and patios with lovely views. Some of them are situated at the lakeside. Each cottage comes with a rowing boat to venture out on the water. Beautiful scenery, the team was extremely helpful and hospitable. Can’t wait to come back!!!
