When we arrived we were welcomed with matcha tea and a traditional desert which were refreshing after a very long journey. The room was outstanding, exactly like in the pictures, loved the traditional Japanese style. In the room we had everything we needed from toiletries to coffee maker. The room was clean, had AC in case we were cold, the bed was comfy and it had a view to the garden. The Ryokan was quiet, perfect for a few days of relaxation. We especially loved the yukatas. The view to the central garden was everything we had hoped for. The main star for us was the private onsen which was accessible directly from the shower. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were amazing. The staff even adapted the menu to our dietary needs, for example we couldn't eat raw fish and they were happy to change some of the ingredients. The restaurant is cozy and elegant and all the tables have privacy. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our entire stay. The neighborhood was quiet, clean. There are several hikes you can take in the nearby woods. From some of them you can even see Mount Fuji. A true Ryokan experience.

The hotel staff was super nice and helpful. One of my friends forgot his ear-pods in the room and we had left Izu. The hotel staff quickly helped to send the ear-pods to our new hotel. Good view at the mountain and the stream from the room window. 4 private onsens for reservation and 1 public one. The futons are comfortable for sleep. The traditional Yukata was offered during the stay.

The hotel's location was quite convenient. A short bus or cab ride from Shuzenji station. From the hotel, it was a lovely stroll to Shuzenji Temple nearby. What stood out to me most was the staff's genuine hospitality. They didn't speak much English but were very accommodating at all times. Neither my mom nor I eat beef, so with advance notice, they replaced beef with lobster. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the public bath was small, it was cozy and well-equipped. It was a shame we only stayed one night.

There is nothing I didn't like about this place. The rooms were beautiful. They were so well designed striking a perfect balance between modern convenience and traditional Japanese architecture. Provided amenities were abundant and the private, open-air hot bath made it a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Italian dinner course was delicious and Japanese breakfast was unique for our experience. The pastries from the hotel's bakery shop were also amazing. Staffs were hands-down one of the best team we have encountered - felt like we had a one-to-one staff-guest ratio. They were all super nice and friendly, and very thoughtful about every detail of our stay. There are a limited number of rooms and some are located at nearby sites so the facility is very private. I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, gastronomic getaway =]

Such a great location right near the river band. Going to sleep with the sound of the river outside felt amazing. ❤️ the owner was so sweet and helpful. Order a dinner from him, his cooking are great! Oh and they allow tattoos in the onsen :)

The room was fantastic. Very smart and tasty interior, the bathtub on the balcony made it perfect. Quiet surroundings and in the morning we could watch 2 deers eating in the forest just below our balcony, it gave us a very warm and relaxed feeling. And that we could see Mt.Fuji from the areas of the hotel was a great bonus!

Everything is good. The staffs are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner (shall be) which is 75 yo even tried to learn Bahasa Malay in advance to greet us. As per previous reviews, the dinner and breakfast are exceptionally good and worth the money. Besides that, the onsen is separate in rooms and can be used individually which is foreigners friendly. Especially those who are not used to bath with strangers.

We have gotten a private onsen in room, and it was an amazing experience! I love how the hotel is situated deep in the forests—the place is peaceful with a view of mount fuji from the room. The room is huge and beautifully furnished with a small tatami room and balcony overlooking the mountains. The haoris and yukatas provided are comfortable along with all the hotel ammenities. There is regular free shuttle to the station, which is very helpful.
