Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The property boasts views of Tonomine, Myojogatake and Mount Asama. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Such amazing and inspiring place. Professional staff, great facilities and totally deserved the money. Definitely will be my first option in hakone My room had path on the balcony it’s was perfect.

All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the food was great. The dinner has amazing quality and variety.

Was delighted by a personally prepared Japanese breakfast in a private room each morning.

Main Dining Room "The Fujiya" serves French cuisine in an elegant space. Restaurant Cascade offers Western dishes, while Kikka-so serves traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A bar, lounge and bakery are available. Excellent amenities and services. We were also offered an upgrade to an apartment from our room. We were travelling a lot and use the room only to sleep, bath and relax a little bit after long days. So we have no clue about the restaurants. The parking is sufficient and the hotel is well placed to make trips in the surroundings. We felt very well treated.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The service was simply top tier. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. Really enjoyed the private open air bath, especially after running 2 marathons in the 2 week prior. Central location, pretty much a short walk from the Gora station.

This is a must place in Japan. Told the host on our way out we can’t wait to come back to this absolute gem. Private onsen, beautiful traditional japanese home and the sweetest host. Hakone is a beautiful cozy destination and we loved amd cherished every moment here. Thank you!
