Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The property boasts views of Tonomine, Myojogatake and Mount Asama. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Everything is awesome. Great view, well maintained property, beautiful landscape and garden, wide selection for dinner and breakfast, food is top notch and generous. Staff are well trained and professional.

Air-conditioned rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Amenities include an LCD TV, fridge, a safe and yukata robes. All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. The Dinner was an amazing cultural experience as was the Private Onsen, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, and the facility was very clean and comfortable.

Amazing hotel, stayed at the traditional room, very comfy and clean. Staff is lovely, very tasty breakfast and tea ceremony is highly recommended. The area is nice, a lot of little cafes around and there is 24/7 supermarket around the corner. Great place to come back to after exploring Tokyo as the area is nice and quiet.

The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a bathtub. Onsen in our room was fantastic with an amazing view, cool traditional breakfast, staff was very nice, Location was TOP! Traditional bed weren't super cozy but we knew it in advance.

Main Dining Room "The Fujiya" serves French cuisine in an elegant space. Restaurant Cascade offers Western dishes, while Kikka-so serves traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A bar, lounge and bakery are available. The hotel went beyond our expectations. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to when we checked-out. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and professional, the onsen area is beautiful and has a view over the mountains surrounding the hotel. For breakfast, we opted for the traditional Japanese restaurant and everything was perfect, form the food to the ambience and the location.

The units are equipped with heating facilities. It‘s very friendly, and the Japanese architectural style is very interesting.
