Even though some of them may not speak English fluently, they utilize translation devices to provide valuable information regarding baggage transportation. Furthermore, when my mother accidentally left her trousers in the room, the staff promptly packed them in a lovely manner and provided excellent service. Highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel in Kyoto.

The staff are extremely helpful, be it with recommendations for restaurants or reservations. The Japanese breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a quiet side street about 15 minutes walk from the main train station. Bus and train are nearby. The private Onzen next to the bath room guarantees a relaxing break after a full day of sight seeing.

The rooms are beautiful, extremely comfortable and have everything you could need. The breakfast is lovely and everyone was so helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Very convenient hotel with lovely staff. Special thanks to Pierre who gave me full guidance about the city. Hotel has great location not far from Gion district and Nishiki market. Breakfast was great.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. We only stayed one night but it was worth it. We were looking into a traditional Ryokan experience and that’s what we received. The complete staff was super kind, they welcomed us, received our bags before check in and later when we came up they welcomed us with tea and local sweets. In the night we had our kaiseki dinner (13 courses) it was a lot but definitely an experience to remember. Not good tho for sensitive paladars, be prepared to eat everything. The girl who served as our host was super nice and explained us everything. The private bath was also a highlight. We loved every second.

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. Everything met or exceeded our expectations, very helpful staff picked us up from the station and even carried our luggage for us. Onsen facilities were great as well as the food

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms. The Taisho era building in Gion was a great base for us, a party of 2. The hosts were very polite, they gave fair warning about the lack of soundproofing due to the building's age and materials used. The Hinoki bathtub was a bonus to the trip. Floor heating and ample temperature control were great for winter in Kyoto. The location is amazing, centrally accessible to all major areas, and walking 'home' is part of the experience. Our room had a kitchenette, which was also essential, we like cooking with local fresh ingredients. (Also the soba (buckwheat) pillows are a nice touch!)
